What do you think of the new map?
The developers said it would be a point of discussion, so let’s discuss it.
Personally, I think it’s an okay map but maybe too hard to navigate, especially with how much stuff is placed in each room.
One thing I despise is the two-storey layout That forces you to walk through multiple hallways to reach the generator above you.
it definitely seems harder to reach higher floors than on The Game imo.
It’s manageable as PH, but I’ll dread it as other killers such as Huntress or Doctor...

I don't know how to navigate the map.
As killer and as survivor.
That is all for now.

I walked into one of the 2nd floor hallways survivor immediately sprintbursts away and i know im not catching up to them because they were on the other end of the hall on a gen and the second floor is literally just straight running. Its so annoying. Also yeah getting upstairs i feel like i have to go around with brutal strength and break the walls.

ran around like an idiot last night trying to find gens, Ibut I only had the new map two times, need to play it 100 times or so LOL

Think there's too many dead ends/blocked off areas due to breakable walls. Also needs something to indicate what rooms have gens, especially with how dark the map is. Other than that I like the map, just need some time to learn and get used to it.

Too little stairs. I have to walk across the entire map to get on the top floor.
Also why are there hidden corridors with breakable walls?? They offer no benefit in terms of shortening loops and the hatch can actually get trapped in there....

Extremely survivor sided if they know the layout. There are many instances where you have to break a wall just to force down a god pallet. It's a new Haddonfield. At least that's my impression after 10 matches or so and playing it in KYF

Only played one game so far, as a survivor, and it's a nightmare. No only could I not tell where anything was, but the fact that the killer TR goes through floors doesn't help. Not enough vaults either, especially for a member of the Lithe Gang.

I think it's pretty horrible. You essentially just run in a straight line circling the building and any M1 killer just has to waddle after you. There's a few pallets from what I've seen, 2 (I think?) are god pallets which kinda sucks. And the rest of the pallets are OK?. They're slightly safer than the Dead Dawg Saloon pallets, and I guess they're balanced? But I'll wait until I make an opinion on it properly. The windows are decent though.
Gens are spread out fine. Totems I literally can't find but I'll figure the spots out. My only issue is honestly the general design. The most effective strat in chase is run in circles and when they're close, use up a god pallet and repeat. Ez to force killers to leave you.
Overall, it's not as bad as Dead Dawg Saloon, but it's still a badly designed map. Then again, with Coronavirus being everywhere, I can allow the devs on this one.

Seriously? There is one pallet like that. The map is another killers heaven.

I definitely think it favors Killer at least now while survivors have such a hard time locating gens across its massive multi story layout.

Visually it looks amazing and I think they did a great job with the overall look and atmosphere. The sound design is also pretty cool.
Gameplay-wise I hate it. It’s simultaneously too cluttered and too empty. The corridors are completely barren and the rooms are full of random useless crap and debris. Most of the pallets are unsafe. It’s kind of noisy so difficult to hear survivors. Spawns are weird, I’ve had a few games where I spawned in a corridor and the killer/survivor spawned at the other end, so I basically started the match in a chase. Gens are hard to find your way to even if you can hear them. Navigating from one floor to another takes way too long.
I dunno, I’m not a fan of the indoor maps in general and I think this might be my least favourite so far. Maybe my first impressions are unfair and I’ll grow to love it over time, we’ll see.

That's objectively false. There are at least 3 god pallets off the top of my head. We counted in KYF

Played the map yesterday around 5 times or so with windows of opportunity and I can confidently say that when survivors start to figure out the tiles and pallets more that this map is way more survivor sided than killer.

For perspective, one of the killer friends I played with is in the top 10 for that killer on the DbD leaderboards. Every killer is going to have a massive efficiency problem due to the layout of that map. Two vaults are a semi-infinite unless a wall is broken. There is a god vault into the courtyard, so you can make an entire lap on the second floor then fast vault down below. It's busted.

The new map is the worst map in dbd to my memory, I hope it will be disabled until fixed

Hot garbage. Once they remove the higher rate of getting this map (in 2 weeks or so?) my pc suddenly crashes when I spawn on it. Idk why, my pc just knows what's better for me lol
