Are the devs going the wrong way?
At first I really like this game and I have more than 2,5k hours. I was very excited about a lot of changes for the game and I love the most cosmetics, but now I think there are a lot of things which are going in the wrong direction...
- game healthy/ balance: with the new chapter and the ability of cages we have a lot of useless perks on killer and survivor side, if the killer use his power. The killer have the choice but survivor just have to deal with that. on top the survivor earn less bp than for unhooking
- a lot of player talk about tunneling and camping, but the devs still say it’s a strategy. But why they don’t create a perk as a counter?? Instead of this we get cages, which allows killer to tunnel without ds, just send the survivor to a cage...
- balance: in my opinion the game is balanced if everything has a counter in any way, with a perk, addon, item or strategy. For example noed just cleans totems, bbq hide in a locker, slugging use unbreakable. Always if the player base is crying or call something „op“ than mostly there is no real counter. So the most discussions are about tunneling, camping bubbas or heavy addons. Why the devs need so much time to look on this things? Or they just ignore it? The best example is the mori. How could it be fair to can tunnel and instamori a player, if the game is „balanced“ around 4 vs 1? And btw it’s just a offering. You can give survivors a offering that let the hatch sporn 1 gen earlier so if all 4 survivor drop it they can escape with a key after one gen... that’s a real counter against a mori, but I think that’s not the solution. But you understand the point?!?
- the new legendary outfits are just boring cause you only can wear the whole outfit. I hoped a legendary outfit would be a different character (which use the same perks and inventory like the original) and we could get different outfits too, but now it’s only one look
- in the past we saw a lot of discussions and critics about the shop prices, cause the devs mostly released expensive outfits, some of them only for auric cells. Why no new green or yellow cosmetics? But instead to listening to our wishes they start with the legendary outfits which are very expensive.
- The mapchanges: it’s correct to remove infinit loops. But why all this deadzones and unsafe pallets or no mindgame areas on new maps? Are the mapchanges balanced around this broken matchmaking where a low rank killer is facing red rank survivors? And why they don’t implement breakable walls on this maps too?
- i love the new dc penalties because there a only a few ragequitters now, but it’s hard that people who have random in-game dcs are get punished too
- Archives: I really like to have some nice challenges to earn extra bloodpoints and I bought all riftpasses, but in my opinion there shouldn’t be challenges which force player to play bad or useless... crouch a whole match as Dwight, get caught as kate two times and escape, let survivor play and kill only during the egc... and why it’s not possible to select a challenge in the lobby? If you have select a huntress challenge and you see a lobby with four medkits it would make sense to switch to the plague, but you can’t switch the challenge...
I really hope the devs look into some of these points and I like to see what other player are thinking.
And to be fair: I love the design of the new map :)

To correct you the map changes were mostly to remove the ability of survivors to rush a gen in the start of the game when the Killers is walking to that gen and to remove infinites. They are going to place breakable walls in Every map but they need to be reworked and that's on different patches.
And the power of ph is balanced because het cant used his perks and survivors cant used their hook perks. But it is a killers power so the killer should have the upoerhand because it wouldnt be otherwise a power when its just everything equal. And the counterplay is just to not run over his trail at all cost.

I think every killer have and need a ability and some of them counters perks for example selfcare, we will make it, Iron will or inner strength is useless against plagues power but with PH there are much more perks which useless ( maybe 15 surv perks). It’s just to much! And a survivor try to prepare his perksetting and know that there a some perks which have a risk against one of the 19 killer but now you know there is 1 new killer, that can make so many more perks useless...

Sure, the mapchanges should help slower killer to defend the gens, but you don’t think it would had make sense to implement breakable walls at the same time? Now they have to look into the same maps again...
And what’s your opinion about the other points?

There are a lot of survivor perks that already counters tunneling or camping. The devs already tried to make a mechanic to counter this strategys but survivors abused it so this was removed. And with the cages: survivors are being sent to the other side of the map where ph is so there is enough time for survivors to rescue him if they arent only focusing on the gens.
mori's and in my opion also keys should be changed. Bubba is hopefully getting reworked so maybe no camping bubba's?
With legendary outfits I agree but I think that is more something Konami wanted maybe because they have full rights on the charachters.
I agree on the shop prices
if the people sometimes dc then they just get a 5 min penalty which is acceptable. If this often happens then it can also be about ragequtting if this isn tthe case it might be a good time for another pc if it crashes a lot lol.
I wish archives would be a lot easier as well. Certain missions are just too hard or the easiest way to complete it is by playing scummy.

The original mori used to not require a hook.
As for the powers, Survivors have no perk to protect against projectiles like huntress hatchets or deathslingers harpoon gun not every killer power requires a perk counter, that would just be a useless perk 90% of the time. I mean people complain about Doctor making them a scream bot yet refuse to use Calm Spirit because it "only counters one killer" ignoring the fact that it also counters From the Shadows which alerts killer to where survivors disturb crows.

The original mori was more unbalanced of course. But is it good how it is now?
huntress and clown can counter exhaustionperks with their addons, stealthkiller and Myers t1 counter OoO, allert, kindred and borrowed time like freddy sometimes too...
In the Game we have a lot of perks or abilities which counters different situations or abilities or perks. I just think it’s to much that 1 killer can counter so many things.

The prices and the kind of the Lisa legendary outfit could be wanted by Konami, but for legion and the next legendary outfits that will be released in the future it’s on the devs how they make it! I like to see a legendary character which have different cosmetics to combine

I‘m not talking about perks to counter killer powers. Sure, it’s important that every killer has his own abilities.
A survivor knows if he choose his perksetting about pros and cons against some killer, for example
pro: iron will against all killer except plague or a killer with stridor
pro: small game against trapper & noed
con: exhausting perks against clown or huntress with addons
con: OoO against stealthkiller
con: selfcare against plague (and legion)
So survivor think about their settings and the risk of the perks. There are a lot of possibilities and a chance 1:19 to go against a special killer, who counter one of your perks, sometimes e.g. if you run OoO is the chance higher 3:19 because there are 3 stealthkiller in the game. On top there is the risk of the killers perksetting and addons. Now with PH there is only 1 killer more (1:20) but he make around 15 perks useless + his perksetting which counters more survivorperks... if you go against him with a lucky setting he will negate 20% of all survivorperks and that’s to much!
I think it’s very unhealthy for the game.

Plague makes even more perks useless and i've heard very few people complain about that. Just because it's the meta perks that are the targets now shouldn't change that.

Can tell you’re a survivor main from this post. Mori is unbalanced for sure. But that’s one of three things the killer has that is unbalanced against countless survivor things that are unbalanced

That’s right, I‘m a survivor main but play killer too.
When agree that moris and keys unbalanced, but which survivor perk, item or addon is so unbalanced? I’m very excited to hear xD
On killerside there is for all a counter against survivors, abitlies or addons, perks, strategies...
