Possible Indie Horror Killers?!
Pyramid Head coming to Dead by Daylight is a dream come true for both the developers and us fans. It's amazing to see Konami lend their video game icons the the franchise and like most licences it just works! Now that we know Dead by Daylight enjoys also celebrating the video games that have graced the horror genre maybe we could think about leaning into some indie Horror icons over the last few years. For this you'll have to be a little more open minded however because personally there are 3 or 4 characters best suited for an Indie Killer role in DBD.
I'll start with my two more controversial picks:
Siren Head, when a resurgence of horror occurs it's never because of one singular character or series however no one can doubt the amazing sides Siren Head has taken in reigniting that indie Horror flame genre. His creepy yet simplistic design writhes its way back into the bare bones of horror. Not to mention he comes with interesting lore and a little wriggle room for creative input! I'm sure the team could more than do him justice within Dead By Daylight!
Springtrap (FNaF), Ok... Here's the long shot, Five Nights at Freddy's, love it or hate it, is an extremely long an intricate story made up of simple games that (again, like all these entries) took the internet by storm and has left a lasting impression ever since. I belive Springtrap, one of the scarier and more gruesome characters in the story would work AMAZINGLY within DBD. He would be the first character (aside from potentially Herman) to have a mechanical feel to him and, again, with permission from series owner Scott Cawthan, the Dead By Daylight team could create something truly amazing and terrifying.
Slender-Man, the horror icon that took the world by storm and really kick started the modern the indie horror genre along with reaching millions as a YouTube smash hit. Slender could have an extremely interesting power set to bring to the game and potentially twists on existing line of sight or madness based mechanics.
Amesia (I'll be honest I've never played the games myself however it's obviously also left a huge impact on the horror game scene and both character theme and amazing aethstetic could slide nicely into Dead By Daylight)
IF YOU'VE READ THIS FAR I'D LOVE FOR YOUR HELP TO GET THIS SENT FURTHER UP THE CHAIN. I know the developers have a lot of plans in place but for them to even consider this would be amazing. I've loved their work so far and if y'all are reading this keep it up!!!

Siren Head, much like slenderman, wouldn't really work. Not only are they both massive and removing this would be really weird, but siren head doesn't have a power. At most you could give it a mimicking system but due to the size it wouldn't work. Plus, it's an incredibly recent character and sorta overrated but that's just me.
Springtrap, on the other hand, would work great if people ignored the reputation around his series. Easily my most wanted licensed killer and would main in a heartbeat. But he isn't happening for a while if at all.
Amnesia wouldn't work. There isn't any main monster with any power in any of the games. They're all just monsters that hit you with no other effect. Maybe you could have Alexander with some dodgy Shadow power but that's getting into obscure territory.
It's better to ask for more commonly recognised indie horror idols; thanks to pyramid head they have a chance now. I think the most likely candidates are the Walrider from outlast, Springtrap and maybe something from the SCP mythos at a stretch. But these are all very low priority for bhvr over movie killers like Jason and candyman, so I don't have my hopes up. But then again I wasn't expecting pyramid head so anything could happen at this point.
