Just got face camped... what a strategy.
Just had a billy face camp me the whole game. He also had Noed and still didn’t go for anybody. What’s the purpose of rocking the perks he had if he’s facecamping.
bigger question is, why is this still in the game? Can we take face camping out as a whole or the killer receive a punishment for it during the match? Lets take facecamping out or not have it be a “strategy” anymore.

I mean if you go down its on you and your team don't demand extra lives.

They have also openly said this is not an ideal play style, that they're looking for ways to make it less desirable, and no...face campers are not punished. They're BP is typically fine and they clearly dont care about depipping. Why would they? They'll get matched with even easier targets.

So I guess killers don’t have 4 perks, OP add ons or offerings they can use either..... and yet still have to face camp and tunnel to get kills..

Maybe you should read the discussion again, I was facecamped by the billy. I was first person hooked, so nobody can get me cause it’s a billy, and I could have 20 health states, but if you’re getting facecamped they don’t matter... killers also have 4 perks if you didn’t know (you must be new to the game or have never leveled up before). Killers also get alerts (if you’re facecamped tho killers won’t care). Killers also have map interactions. Also, the corn WOW how come I’ve never hidden just straight up in the corn. You my sir must be a rank 0 survivor, ahead of everybody else in the game!
Let me know when you play the game more, sounds like you haven’t played it a lot. Just watch out because Gen rush strategy is toxic and facecamp strategy is clever and unique. Also, with no punishments basically. Have fun and don’t die... unless you play killer then don’t facecamp!

pips are what determine a win or loss. If you camp you won't pip. Everyone who actually plays will outrank all the facecampers.

No, its your personal opinion that PIPs are what determine a win or a loss. And the idea that you cannot camp and pip is fallacy. I am a red rank survivor, red rank killers camp. So your logic is very easily flawed. FACE camping is the least rewarding type of camping in the game...IF the survivors don't try and be altruistic (which, btw is their main generation of BP in addition to interacting with the Killer). A killer can still easily pip if they do...or if they are just smart enough to proxy instead of face camp because they'll get numerous hooks out of making a 17m circle around a single hook. So the whole idea that it is in any way unrewarding is ridiculous. Its lazy. Its cheap. It ruins matches for everyone involved.

No... Pips are 100% what determines a win. A 4k ruthless game is great. A 4k merciless is 100% more of a win. It's what makes you rank up or down and that's how the progression system works. I honestly don't care about proxy camping there's no way to take that out of the game or punish it without punishing a killer for getting ran around near a hook. If they aren't face camping you can get an unhook easily with some teamwork. Face camping is what I think is unhealthy and face will depip you almost every time.

Show me where a developer has specifically state that if you pip, you have won the game? I will concede on this immediately. ;)
Also, while pipping is nice, it is not the currency of this game. So you could certainly argue other forms of 'winning'.
Face camping is unhealthy. And it can depip you, but its not guaranteed for the aforementioned reasons. And the fact remains that this is not a deterrent, nor to Killers themselves consider this a loss.

The only way a face camper gets even decent points if the rest of the team starts throwing themselves in to make saves and starts doing 1 for 1.
If you just hammer gens and leave the campers get like 7k plus max one BBQ for about 10k points whereas even “losing,” a normal game as killer I get 20k+ plus 4 stacks of BBQ so I get 40-60k a game

Yeah it's just a big quality of life issue for the person being face camped. Often times it's frustrating and unfun for that person. I think the issue is that it should always be an option but the price isn't quite there. It's behavior that truly should be discouraged and very punishing and the existing experience isn't punishing enough. And just to clarify, punishment doesn't mean ban or suspended. I just think that the in-game experience makes it rewarding in many cases.

I don't. I have 2000 hours, which is enough to know that Face Camping boring as all hell.

So that was sarcasm (you probably couldn’t tell cause that paragraph was also full of stupidity, so you probably can’t tell the difference when something horrible is suggested vs something actually good).

He said "Survivors", not "survivor". This is a team based game you know.
He's referring to survivors actually playing smart (shock horror) and doing gens instead of just running at the killer who's facecamping and wasting time.
As he said, getting facecamped sucks, but if survivors did gens 100% instead of rushing at the killer like their heads have fallen off, FaceCamping wouldn't be an issue.
Because every rank 20 killer who does it would just realise its a horrid strategy and give up. They don't think that because survivors still feed them kills when they do it.

SurvivorS, as in plural. As in if your teammates or the survivors that played before against that Billy didn't reward him doing so then he wouldn't do it or you would eventually outrank him

I think you misunderstand the situation. You're the one being accused of having nothing constructive to say. All you've done is spew out ranting and insults to anyone who disagrees. You're the one who has said nothing to disprove that.
The only thing that anyone is accused me of is your potential alt account, who accused me of being a facecamper. I said that clearly wasn't the case as I have a significant degree of experience on both sides.

It's still the progression system of the game. Merciless and Ruthless means you won and brutal means it was a tie.

Like, if you get all four kills really quickly and get entity displeased, I don't really think that can be considered a loss for the killer.

taunting the killer doesn't really benefit the survivor

Taunting gets to the killer. This really benefits you as a good survivor. Taunt the killer enough and they'll chase you for the entire game. Your teammates will have enough time to get gens done and you escape.
