Swole Doge Must Come To The Game
Imagine it. You load into the lobby, its the new map surrounded in dark grey mist, the howling winds, and the grey of the surrounding rock formations. In another time it might have been peaceful a scenic vocation of naturally formed wonders but had it ever been peaceful? Or had it been a peaceful land of tranquility until you arrive here in this place, no there is something more. Something knows you are here, knows what you are, and it is too late to leave. This being does not have the blind seething rage of beings such as the Oni, nor the cold calculation of the Trapper, no this being is something different. You set to work on the tasks you've undertaken a hundred thousand times, yet you cannot nor hear the others that were joined with you at the start. An expected experience but not to such an extent as this. When did it become so quiet, when did the wind stop, and the creaking noises of the shifting illusions fade?
Then you hear it once again, a sound unlike any you've heard since you were taken. It is not the rhythmic beating of your heart or the chaotic unsettled melody of the Huntress. It grows from a small hushed whispering as the second's tick by until finally the onset of a choir, of a melody both forbidding and peaceful at the same time. As you hear it you become stricken by it, leaving you in both a state of unease and rest unlike any you can recall experiencing in these dark places. You look on into the fog as it begins to ease in the north, and then you see him. He stands there not hiding, not moving towards you, he stares at you while you stare at him. You begin to wonder how long he has been standing there, how long have you been here? And then you realize the truth
You will not be saved here you never could be
