Oni Power on controller malfunction

So, I only play on controller. I play on PC so I definitely get a lot of hate for it but I can consistently 4k with my main killers and I don't see a disadvantage. I recently bought Oni and whenever I get enough blood orbs I try to press Lb to pop the power and nothing happens. The prompt goes away when I click it so I know it's seeing the input. I dont have this trouble with anything else in the game. Any suggestions?

You have to hold the button down aswell, if that's not working it might be a bug.
