Deathslinger on console?

I got his merciless when he came out and then took a pretty long break. So i grinded out his bounded and downed achievement today and i can't help but feel he's one of the worst killers on console

I have a feeling from watching YouTubers that it might a situation like nurse and to a lesser extent huntress where they're really good on PC but next to useless on console. I'm not great with huntress but i can still land hatchet hits, with deathslinger i missed so many times when i was right behind someone. I only really found his power legitimately useful at Windows, when people camped pallets, and when it was a straight away and they weren't trying to dodge (so basically against noobs). The only useful moment in a game with red rank SFW was grabbing them off hooks, which was nice but it felt like that was it. Even in straight aways they could easily dodge

Is this the typical experience or am i just not used to him? It's been awhile since the DLC and i have yet to see him (or his map which is super frustrating since i didn't get that achievement) since then but i for sure remember him being kind of a joke compared to when Oni and Pyramid head launched

    he's one of the best killer in the game, potentially spirit level, on console he's harder because we don't have aim assist on dbd..my advice is to restart the app every 2 games, to keep your framerate fresh, and playing with low sensitivity, if you are not used to aim

    I gave up playing Slinger on console. It's just too damn bugged. I've literally watched my harpoon go through survivors and it still didn't count as a hit. The new map is what put the nail in the coffin for me. Playing Slinger there is an absolute nightmare... And yes, I understand a handful of you might be good w him, but the majority isn't. Same with nurse and huntress. Console needs some serious improvements..

    I'm terrible with him, while I usually win most of my huntress games. I'm not really sure if I'm just that bad of a Deathslinger or everyone else is having the same issue. I miss most of my shots. Usually I'm a millisecond too late or to early with his spear.

    Deathlinger have smaller hit boxes than huntress. On ps4 rarely play him . IMO better play huntress on console

    It's not really about deathslinger's hitbox, but survivor's.

    I would play Deathslinger on console only if he had a machine gun.

    He's not bad on console, it sounds like you're just not very good at aiming with analog sticks. I have good days and bad days with my aim for him. On the days my aim is on and i'm not missing shots I absolutely destroy teams with him.

    Im not very good with analog sticks.....but you realize on console we really don't have a choice? That's all Ive ever used 😂

    I mean actually there are some games you can use mouse and keyboard on on Xbox but DBD isn't one of them yet.

    Im glad im not the only one. Lately I've been reading about people hating him on PC so ig it just is console. I don't even think its the controls but the frame rate which i don't really understand all i know is the shots don't hit when they look like they should. I wonder what he's like on switch or even better mobile

    I personally love deathslinger on pc, hes been my main killer ever since billy got a shadow nerf. no idea how he fairs on console tho

    He's not amazing overall, but in the right hands he can mess you up badly. I main him as killer and I'm far from the best Deathslinger player, but I can pull off some pretty neat trick shots when a survivor thinks they're safe. I guess it comes down to how well you can play them. I'm great as Deathslinger, but give me a Huntress and my hatchets will be flying 30m's beside you. My aim is god awful as her.
