Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

devs, I'm asking a very good question

why do we have so many perks in the game that no one uses? I agree that some of them need a complete rework like Insidious, and that takes a lot of time to make, but some weak perks only need small buffs to be good enough.

one good example that I can think of is Any means necessary. When this perk was out in the ptb everyone enjoyed it from what I remember, it didn't seem overpowered at all lol, and still got nerfed when it came out on the live servers, and now I think people just forgot this perk even existed. But if the devs change the numbers a bit it can still be good.

Or make a separate ptb where the players can test buffed perks and if the perks are not too overpowered they're just good to go live.

Honestly it just became annoying seeing the same perks used over and over and over again. I feel like this idea has been brought up a few times but have the devs given any answer?

A lot of perks are useful only in very rare, not commons specifics situations so i guess it doesnt worth to waste a slot

I think that seperated ptb you suggest was already suggested. It is then the experimental mode of overwatch. Which I think is a great Idea.

The main reason a lot of perks arent used is because they are situational.

And why play a situational perk that rely on the enemys and the map when you can play a perk that can be used in Every match effectively .

They said before that they have various perks in line for reworks/getting numbers pass overs. Though I don't understand why they take so long.

but playing every match effectively doesn't become boring after a while? I get that everyone wants the best perks out of the best, but idk I feel like sometimes less used or not so common perks spice up the things a little bit, and if they do their job it's even more refreshing. idk maybe it's just me

I heard about that thing too...was kinda disappointed when the ptb dropped and I didn't see any perks modified
