PC - Cage of Atonement Doesn't Count as Killing Survivor for Execution Challenge in Tome

I was trying to complete the Tome III, Level 2: Execution challenge (kill 8 Survivor(s) by any means) as The Executioner. I had 4 kills already and then 4 k'd in a match. The game only registered 2 kills towards the challenge, bringing my total to 6, not 8. Two of the survivors died by not being rescued from the Cage of Atonement, and 2 were killed when they were in torment and on their third hook. I'm not sure which didn't register, but I only got credit for 2 of 4 kills by using The Executioner's power instead of a mori or the hook.

I do know I previously killed one survivor in another match with the Cage of Atonement power when they would be going on the hook for the third time and received credit toward the Tome Challenge. That was on Azaroz's Resting Place with the same build as below. I'm assuming it's the survivor dying in the actual cage that doesn't register for whatever reason.

Character Played: The Executioner

Perks played: Trail of Torment (2), Surge (1) Barbecue & Chili (1) Whispers (1)

No add-ons.

Map: Midwich Elementary

Frequency of the Issue: first time it happened.

    Same thing just happened with me, had 6/8, got 1 cage kill (was their second hook/cage, but i chased the other survivors out the exit gate), and it didnt update to 7/8.
