Is it okay/acceptable to leave a hooked survivor if the killer is camping with NOED?

I feel bad but there is literally nothing i can do.

    No one can force you to stay although sometimes I have been able to save someone camping with NOED. And if you find the totem then great.

    Yeah, I don’t play survivor much but I thought the rule of thumb was to search for totem. Survivor will insta kill himself if he wanted to spare others from attempting to help him. If he struggles, at least check the perimeter for a totem.
