Petition to make grabs register on the killer side
The title says it all. Especially with the rift challenge(s) regarding picking up survivors, these should be 100% done on the killer side. This because a grab can be difficult enough as it is on gens and hooks. If when the grab animation starts it would guarantee the pick up, it would stop survivors from spamming people at the hook for the annoyance and abuse of game mechanics. They would still be able to spam, but they would know they're putting themselves at risk.

I'd like to disagree. They're making hits Server sided for a reason, making grabs killer sided would basically mean if you have bad ping you're getting a massive advantage, whilst if you have good ping you're handicapping yourself this should never be the case.

People already know their putting themselves at risk this is not needed.

Wish it was as easy as making a petition, but it's a lot more complicated than that my guy.
From my understanding, a lot of the issue stems from dedicated servers and the discrepancy between survivor view and killer view, from a technical standpoint it takes a while for signals to travel from your computer to the dedicated server back to my computer and as such we won't ever be seeing the same displayed image or the same thing as each other at any given moment.
This means that when I as a ghostface main grab you but you had seen me last second and already let go a full second earlier then that means I feel cheated, but to you it looked totally normal.
This is the problem of latency, it can never be completely solved and it's a pretty complicated issue but the devs are working on minimizing the effect as much as humanly possible to the point that it's no longer noticeable, and therefore no longer a problem.
It's just about waiting.

They are making hits serverside, but things like flashlight saves, picking up, and hooking still require survior-client confirmation (meaning they can lagswitch it to lock the killer in animation). Which is unfair in my opinion.

The issue with this is that survivor lagswitching also puts them at a massive disadvantage, most notably rubberbanding and being hit from 50 lightyears away. Plus, they may make these server-sided too if it gets too outrageous, like they're making hits server-sided because of how many killers (particuarly huntresses and their collection of fridges) use VPNs to gain an unfair advantage.
Also @sycoforbidden something I forgot to mention is they're looking into recoding grabs and dead hard. Basically what used to happen on P2P is that there would be 2 seperate checks for both to ensure killers and survivors had equal reaction times each. This when translated onto servers is very survivor sided and hopefully will be fixed soon :)

How is a lagswitching survivor at an disadvantage? Just pull the plug everytime the killer is about to hook you, and put it back in 5 seconds later. By that time the killer will have strafed 5 metres to the side, because the server (for whatever dumb reasons) automatically assumes the survivor is still wiggling even if they stopped sending packages. Killer readjusts to hook again, you just pull the plug again. Its basically an infinite decisive strike.
Alone last week I got 5-6 individual survivors pulling that ######### on me, and it was absolutely frustrating. Granted I played alot last week, but this still shouldn't be allowed, because its basically cheating.

#########, I've never heard of this.

put them on the ground and slug them and tunnel until they die.

Well if you're so sure they're pulling the plug intentionally record it and upload it to support in a ticket as well an ingame report because, shocker, that is cheating.
Not that's that's ever happened to me, usually when that happens it's because my end had a stutter.
