am i suppose to laugh at this?
20 -
To to be rude or anything, but what does this have to do with Dead by Daylight?
8 -
@NigtmareReborn
People asking for fnaf when it really does not fit in dbd
2 -
Cringe is spelling it “loose” instead of “lose.”
8 -
If you have that opinion, that's perfectly fine, but I just find this post unnecessary.
2 -
It is unnecessary, a lot are.
And about it being spelled loose, I just stole the meme from my discord.

Even though I’m not personally a FNaF fan and wouldn’t care to see it in DBD, I still don’t think it’s necessary to target people who would like to see it. Even if it never happens, people can hope. No need to stomp on them, y’know?
13 -
Well, I think FNAF has gathered enough following for it to be considered an icon of horror.
8 -
@infaredd I understand that its nice to let people hope, but there is a difference between a game/movie that has a consistent story like hellraiser and ones that change every completely every installment to the point of just not being good. The so bad that is irredeemable things shouldn't be in DBD. Unless you mention it as a joke, like how I bring up the Blob from time to time.

Wat
1 -
A difference between a good icon and a bad icon. There is also so bad its good, like with Scream.
0 -
That’s your opinion, and that’s fine. But again, it still doesn’t justify posting crap like this just to sh*t on other people. C’mon, you can be better than that. This community has enough toxicity.
5 -
Why is it bad?
0 -
Have you ever had a joke? Then someone explained it, and some people still didn't get it? So they explained it more in depth and it is no longer funny? Or that friend who keeps telling the same joke and it ceases to be funny.
Lets look at it another way. What makes a lot of things scary is not knowing what exactly it is or where it came from. The more you over reveal its inner workings, the less scary it is. Also the repetition of the same over and over. Jumpscares in first game, second, third, fourth, fifth... Nothing new on the base level.
1 -
What you end up with is a game formula that was slaughtered by its overuse, and a over saturated story
2 -
To add on to this it would also bring over the fnaf playerbase into this game wich imo would be worse for the health of the community. Bringing it over would mean that yes zome youtubers would play it but what im worried about is their fan base wich consists of mainly toxic children and lets be honest toxcity is the last thing we need in this comunity.
2 -
^
We don't need any more toxic players in the community, we have enough
2 -
Oh, the irony. Every fan base has toxic players. But FNaF's isn't composed of just toxic kids as everyone (like you) believes
5 -
The being a toxic community argument isn't good. We ourselves are quite toxic. But most of the fnaf audience are kids or edgy teens. Suffice to say a lot of people don't want someone typing reported in chats because they don't understand the game.

Bruh Didnt you post on that other post explaining how they wanted a FNAF chapter lol
The only cringe person is you, youre the one that keeps making dumb posts about this talking crap about somebodys idea. And every post you made in the last thread was highly cringe. "Duh the killer isnt a slasher, and has no weapon, duh." Omega lol
1 -
No .. i really dont want to see FNaF in DBD mainly because it is more of a Crypto-psuedopsychological-horror game, also its lore is really convoluted, it doesnt have a movie or TV show (yet.) That being said ... Do you really blame them after the Legion Robbie Rawbbit outfits? The first thing I thought when i saw those was "oh sh-t here come the FNaF fanboys."
1 -
Yet we have Stranger Things. At this point anything remotely horror related fits. FNAF fits more than ST.
One is actual horror. The other is an 80s scifi show with horror tropes and coming of age comedy.
6 -
It has plenty of books. Which are arguably better source material than movies.
1 -
Yet, that happens every game, and did when ST came out. DROVES of kids not knowing how to play, or just running in circles not even trying because "look I'm steve".
1 -
I think that's the point of the meme
0 -
Thats true, but as a counter point its helped keep the game fresh, i played dbd when it first came out but it was super grindy so i stopped. But then when my gf and i heard stranger things was coming into dbd, i hopped on and bought it to replay it. Now ive had a lot more fun than before, and yeah i love steve, but it made me stay around this time.
1 -
You people are complaining about fnaf in dead by daylight when we have Quentin's face and Steve's voice actor. We have bigger problems right now
3 -
Quentin is scary, i hope they patch his face with that graphics update.
0 -
Nah, it’s not. There’s lots of variations of the meme with correct spelling. But that’s off topic, so.
0 -
Yeah I think they have it confused with Fortnite
0 -
Hot take, but Silent Hill doesn't really fit DBD either since Silent Hill changes based on who's in it lol. It's why Pyramid head isn't in every single Silent Hill game.
4 -
Uhhh, ok OP?
1 -
Very true, i know heather is iconic, but part of me wishes it was james. And the lore is he drove into the lake, but instead of suicide, the entity takes him and torments him with pyramid head as a new hell.

Fnaf

Ok so to just add a little bit to the idea of fnaf in DbD
There is more to the lore and world of Fnaf then what the games reveal, yes they are jsut semi puzzle horror jumpscare fests (which I enjoy) and looking at it that way is for sure bound to make a poor chapter.
That said the only character I think has enough depth to make a power and chapter around is Springtrap. He has the most unique AI compared to most animitronics due to being still mostly in control. The phantom animitronics can act as traps and also a way for Springtrap to slow and track survivors. He can have a unique weakness of laughter drawing his character slightly to an area meaning he can be a bit more powerful as he might have an easy to handle counter.
Look, I'm not saying Fnaf should or shouldn't be added to dbd, but yes most of the animitronics would not do pretty well if the sole power is just jumpscares.
Finally, sorry if I cannot spell animitronics correctly, it's an odd word for me :/

I made an account just to comment on this because I constantly get DBD forum posts on Chrome Mobile's stupid little "Hey! Y'might like this!" section below the search bar. You know the one. I don't even play this game much, or at all, really.
I'll come right out the gate and say that I still follow the FNaF franchise and can arguably say I'm apart of the fandom. In some small corners its a toxic abyss, but in large part it's made up of mostly kind and helpful people that just want a good funny bear experience. We all need some good bears now and then.
I couldn't give less of a ######### if a FNaF character is added to Dead by Daylight. Would it be cool? Absolutely, in our eyes. I'd play it more. Would it be controversial as hell? Looking at some things here, stuff like Pyramid Head is controversial as is, so yes, FNaF would be a risky play to include into the game in any regard.
I've heard that one of the DBD developers, I have no idea which one, have at one point thrown an offhanded comment about the possible inclusion of some sort of FNaF character in the game. Do with this information what you will, I just figured it'd be nice to mention it since the conversation is on the topic.
I mostly stopped in to say that the fandom isn't toooo bad toxicity-wise these days. It's mostly just a bunch of tired people trying to figure out a jigsaw puzzle, except each piece is riddled with razors and thumbtacks, and they're all gorilla-glued to the floor.
1 -
It's honestly sad to see that FNaF hasn't lost its "cringey child" stigma, that it obtained almost 6 whole years ago. Does FNaF attract a younger audience? Yes. Does, FNaF have its fair share of children? Yes.
However, most of the fans that have enjoyed the series from its inception are much older and more mature now. For context, anyone who was 13 when FNaF 1 came out are now legal adults. People not liking FNaF is one thing, and its perfectly okay if you don't, but its another to bash those who do, and thats not acceptable
2 -
So you don't understand the difference between a joke and a secretive background lore. That's not a good reason to pretend your personal opinions should be grounds for FNaF not being added as a chapter. All this really proves is you have no clue about FNaF in both lore or the genius that Scott used by making a whole community do joint detective work around a mystery that he didn't give enough clues to solve fully and then increase the mystery when giving new clues to make even more communal dective work required to come up with more theories.
The very fact that you would actually say "what makes a lot of things scary is not knowing what exactly it is or where it came from" while describing FNaF (the one horror series that doesn't fully reveal this at any point) is ridiculous when by default you have to defend all the other horror series that have come to DbD which do just that if you're saying FNaF doesn't fit DbD but they do. And I can't believe that I actually have to explain this to people because it should be so blatantly obvious, but if FNaF got a DbD chapter, it would be more than just jumpscares in this game. The amount of close minded bias you needed to think that they would make DbD like FNaF instead of FNaF like DbD is extremely disappointing.

I really don't understand why fnaf couldn't fit into dbd. It's a valid horror icon and this game has a lot of horror icons. If done right, this could be a great addition to the game even bringing in more people which is never bad.
1 -
What if William Afton was in DBD, like you know, going around, chasing you with axe, being purple and stuff, saying how is he going to take ur soul. C'mon l can't be only one who thinks this is cool.
0 -
Guys, it does fit in because you could fail and get killed by the animatronics at the end of the night shift and the start of the day shift
0 -
Mate Nightmare on Elm Strees, Halloween, and Texas Chainsaw all have done this, where every iteration changes the lore. Hell even Jason does this. FNaF really isn't that different. The only difference is the horrible community that follows it.
