Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Dead By Daylight in VR

Imagine DBD in VR, offered as a completely separate mode or an entire game of its own tailored for the VR players.

I can already see it, peeking from corners with your head watching as the Pyramid Head raoms the hallways in the distance, crouching with your entire body and peeking over obstacles to see the environment around you without relying on the 3rd person camera view, slow peek from lockers before stepping out to make sure it's safe, man, there's a lot of cool stuff that sounds simplistic but would feel extremely immersive in VR.

I don't know really, I just wanted to toss an idea and see how many would be excited about DBD in VR.

Yes. This would be the only way dbd gets scary.

To do the action of healing you must give the other player a back rub. In vr.

    I would love this.

It would be great, but as you say the gameplay would have to be completely overhauled into a new mode, or released as a standalone DBD VR game.

It would be awesome if BHVR could pull it off, but I am not sure the VR player base is there. OTOH, it would be no less of a waste of resources than any of their other side projects, so why not?

Fun in theory, but will be called killer sided. Losing your 3rd person camera will be the equivalent to running No Mither every match.

Besides, imagine the motion sickness from playing that.

I don't think DBD's specific mechanics would translate well to VR, but I'd love to see an asym slasher horror VR game made at some point.

It'd have to lend more to stealth, since movement is kind of tricky to do well in VR.
