They probably should be unlocked for everyone some time after the event is over so those people who were unable to receive the cosmetics during the event for whatever reason would be able to enjoy them with everyone else.
It would be in the community's best interests.

I'd be surprised if these things actually became "exclusive". They could be added to the store after this event is finished for people who missed out or more likely, unlocked when you first start the game, just like what happened with the cosmetics recently unlocked for everyone from the Howling Grounds Event and the Summer Event.

devs are know form backing out of ther word so be sure they will give it to everyone soon

The Blight cosmetics were made available after their initial event, both in the store and next year, where were these low-effort jokes back then?

I think the only difference is those outfits were put in the store as soon as the event started. These still aren't in the store so it seems like they could be doing them in a different way maybe?

Maybe to help others understand, people should start listing how this has negatively affected them. I'll start.
I use to think I was super cool because I had an exclusive cosmetic. Now that they are available to everyone I feel like just another nerd playing a video game.

It also just makes acquiring them not feel as rewarding. Why try to get these cosmetic if they're going to be given out for free a few years down the line to everyone?

I reckon they'll be exclusive, since the only cosmetics they gave away where ones that a large part of the community lost due to bugs (and thus they gave them to everyone to compensate, since they couldn't determine who had "earned" them or not), or ones that people would buy from traders and scalpers for real world money

I got the Luna new year outfit for Feng through a bug. I wasn't playing back then, I just had it when I joined.
I was always jealous of those who had the event jacket for David, but now that I have it, I don't want to use it.
It's different with the cosmetics you needed Codes for, since I can really understand why they did it (the immense money they cost on eBay etc).
I use them on some characters.

I got all the crowns, I think they should make them available for everyone later. Can either do what they just recently did with the BBQ cosmetics or toss them in the store for some iridescent shards. They're just cosmetics, they don't make your killer more powerful or give your survivor some special ability.

long answer: there are no more exclusives other than legacy. they gave away all the old exclusives and all the newer ones are in the shop. they also said they won't do exclusives anymore. so if they call these exclusives, it's just a big fat lie.
