Gateau not giving right amount of points.
Without doing the exact math. Two just got used in a match where I had 22k BP.
Back on the main menu I have 58k bp. It should be more like 66k but more with the extra 8%
Also, what do I even do with the crows? I escaped with one and there doesn't seem to be something to look at to gauge progress or anything?

The crowns unlock a Head cosmetic for any original survivor or killer (Non-License). Survivors have to escape with it, and killers just have to end the match as normal.

the crown is a cosmetic that you unlock by escaping as a survivor or just finishing a round as a killer. It's a cosmetic for your head. I got the crown like 2 times but it still doesn't show up in my inventory tho

The devs confirmed that the gateu is not working correctly right now. It applies a 140% bonus to whoever used the offering.

In the character menu where you select cosmetics, check the head section.

You don't have to BE an original character to unlock it right? I see nothing new in any of their head sections.

You have to grab the crown and escape/finish the match with each character that can unlock it. If you did it on a licensed character you got nothing.

Thats stupid. Considering they can't handle doing even the smallest event without a problem I get why its that way though.
There should be an extra menu that allows you to unlock it for whoever you want to have it.
So is that the entire event? You just unlock crowns for original characters?

And get exclusive items and offerings yes.
I assume you can't do it for licensed characters because of issues with the license holders.
