Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

The spirit: hex

How does her perk haunting grounds work? Is it in order to bait survivors? Like if you were to take it with one of the Hag perks survivors would think before cleansing one of her totems since they don't know which one it is?

Hex: Haunting grounds spawns 2 Decoy hex totems they look and sound like normal Hexes but if one of them is broken every survivor is exposed for 40/50/60 seconds you can use it in combination with other hex perks so that the survs will have a 2/3 chance of breaking the wrong totem and Dooming their team. But they can only cleanse one of the Decoys the second decoy will just turn back into a dull totem

When they destroy one of the totems does not matter which of the two they are in exposed state for some time which means you can down them instantly

Correct. The perk adds 2 hex totems to the match (lights 2 additional ones on the map), along with other hex perks you equipped  It works best with hex perks whose effects are easily noticeable by Survivors (Lullaby and Ruin). But it also works as bait if Survivors just stumble upon them.

After being cleansed, the Haunted Grounds totems become dull. So, less chances to "conflict" with TotH and maybe NOED.

I know that part. But it seems that this perk is useless unless you are taking another hex with you. Since even if you have noed most people wouldn't risk cleansing totems.

Yes, you need to give them a reason to do totems. Otherwise you have to rely on their greed to trigger it, but that is very unlikely.
Maybe even try TotH to prolong the cleansing, just to make them waste more time.

In short it's just a mind game.

I don't think this perk is that strong.

Maybe they'll buff it to both totems.

It could be good for Hag

I definitely think it needs an extra something.

At the moment its basically like a phase of Michaels Evil Within 3 but with no control of when it starts. For one perk slot that's not a great return.

Could be fun as part of a novelty 'exposed' build with
NOED, Make your Choice and Devour Hope.

Pairing this with Hex Ruin/Huntress Lullaby/Haunted Grounds on the Doctor maybe nasty

One buff I would suggest is to make the first totem cleansed in a match to automatically be a haunting grounds totem. That way, they won't get lucky and get your ruin or other hex perk on the first totem. It could be a "hex protector" hex

If you pair Hex Haunted Ground with Hex Thrill of the Hunt, you could use the pair to get a very fast down at the beginning of a match. It might prove useful when doing a hex build or a Hag game.

Would be interesting if it only added one extra totem plus your other hex totems if you have them, then if you break any of those hex'ed totems you suffer the curse.

The only problem with this perk is the same problem TOTH has, in that it's pointless to run this perk without other totems.

Also I wasn't aware that if you cleanse one, both will go down. That honestly really hurts the perk, they should both stay active until cleansed.

And why should the survivor bother cleansing any hex totem if they don't see another hex effect in play?
No Ruin, no Lullaby, but I see hexes… no thanks, I don't take the bait.
Better pair it up with Devour Hope.

Did survivor ever cleanse dull totem to avoid Noed?
No, they go to the forum and complain about Noed instead. :P

When devs are too lazy to rework totems that they introduce another bandaid help and make another perk mandatory

    Pretty good job so far

her perk is like noed, but it can be activated at any time and with a time limit

It's pretty much pointless on its own. Ruin/devour hope+haunted ground= godlike.
