Do reports in this game even do anything?

There's very little interaction between players outside of gameplay. So is there even a point to reporting people outside of using exploits?

Yes, providing you provide evidence and are reporting something that is bannable in game - then reports definitely do something.

Yes, reports do something, assuming you're reporting people who actually break the rules and not just someone who camped or teabagged or whatever.

In-game reports without an additional support ticket containing additional evidence, such as video, most likely go straight in the bin.

    See:

I've never seen any type of statement from Behaviour about players that have been banned. You don't get an in-game notification if someone you have reported has been banned like you do in other games. I guess you just have to have faith(lol) in Behaviour.

Permabans at least should show up on Steam profiles as "1 Game Ban found" (or whatever the exact wording is). This isn't perfectly accurate as it doesn't say what game it is but if that notice wasn't there when you made a report and it shows up later it could indicate that the person got permabanned.
