Have him in the middle of your screen. Imagine a crosshair being there and you need to point it at gh (it is not pin point, can be somewhat off center).

Bear in mind that your character model also blocks that reveal mechanic. You need to see him unobscured by any clutter or your character.

It is easy to reveal him, probably easiest time to max out your boldness is to play against gh and just reveal him.

You gotta have him within the centre of your screen and the majority of his module must be visible. This means if he's leaning you're going to have a hard time revealing him head on but from the side is easy. If he's crouching you can't reveal easily but he's also slower so you should be good escaping.

Anything that blocks your los though, even your character model itself, can prevent the reveal.

I copied this from DBD wiki (https://deadbydaylight.gamepedia.com/Danny_Johnson_alias_Jed_Olsen):

    1) The Ghost Face can be revealed by Survivors within a range of 32 metres him by default.

    2) Survivors need to see at least 20 % of Ghost Face's body within the centre 26 % of the Player's screen for at least 1.5 seconds to reveal him.

    3) If The Ghost Face is being spotted, an audio cue will play to both the Killer and the Survivor who is spotting him.

    4) While crouching, less of Ghost Face's body is visible, thus making it harder to reveal him.The same applies to leaning around corners.
