Cakes wont be fixed
Sorry to be so negative, but its been over 3 days, just face it, it wont be fixed during the event unfortunately. we've lost out on milions of BP and the fact that the cakes doesnt work at the moment makes saving them up a struggle. wish they compansated with a bloodhunt or something but might not be possible to even activate it. GGs see you guys in the fog.

You know you dont have to use them as soon as you get them or even during the event right? Stock up and use them later when they are fixed.
Of all the bugs in the game, this must be the most trivial one yet..

should be the easiest bug to fix and no, the fact that they are bugged makes it soo much harder to farm up on them. if they actually worked we would get more bp and more cakes to use and save up on.

What's sad is that the obvious amount of players using them will decline and you won't get the Bonus Bloodpoints then like you can now.

The problem with this is the likelihood of additional cakes being burned after the event will be quite low. You'd be better off keeping the 140% for just yourself. These cakes have taken the place of what would've been a bloodhunt. I don't think this bug is trivial at all.

Even the smallest fix requires QA for all the platforms to clear the build for resubmission. It's more work to make a fix like this than you might think. :)

yeah i guess sony is the biggest obstacle atm for you seeing they need to verify it first. Dont know how nintendo and microsoft handles it. thats why i guessed it would take much longer, possibly the entire event. But thanks for getting my hopes up!

U know what's weird? That this bug even exist in the first place.
We have the 103% gateau and they work perfectly fine. One would think "hey let's copy paste the code of the 103* gateau (or bloodyparty streamer), change the value to 104%, change the icon, change the description and voilà"
But somehow even this simple looking task created a super weird bug which couldn't get fixed for 3 days. Are the coders at bhvr that bad or is the entire code so much spaghetti that even simple copy paste tasks create bugs?

I believe the QA is more to make sure it doesn't cause the console to melt or introduce a security vulnerability or something.

if the event functioned fully then yes. yes I would. its also kind of silly to have an anniversary event that's half baked and you then give your consumers a sub par product. it's called releasing content when its done, not when the release date says so.

After 4 years (HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!) of patch after patch BREAKING something, and them taking their sweet time to fix it...them using the "QA" excuse is receiving the criticism it damn well deserves.

- They are permanent you can save them and use them upon fix
- They still work at 140% bp they just don’t stack
- Dont be a choosing beggar it’s still plenty of free bp don’t ask for more
- Like with any bug they do fixes on Tuesday that is how their working schedule works

This is a free event and it’s not broken it still works you just can’t stack them atm they are permanent as long as you have them it’s not like the Halloween petals plus you are not a game designer so you don’t know how easy or hard this stuff is it takes confirmation from steam Microsoft Nintendo Sony etc to even be allowed to update so mostly likely they won’t get that until tuesday normal scheduled update day

It's not a free event. You have to buy the game. Nothing is free; and it IS broken. The bloodpoint offerings are the MAIN reason people nolife the event this hard; and they are broken.

Well to everyone here I can confirm they work on it, they've fixed it, they're going to hotfix it "late next week", they're extending the event to July 14th, and providing bonus bloodpoints upon login. Have fun <3

It IS a free event. You dont buy the game to get the event. Nowhere is written that this event will take place. Or that you will even have events when buying the game.

Give the Devs a break guys. No game is perfect and especially with Covid happening and them having to work from home, it’s hard to develop a game. It also costs a large sum of money to send a patch through and all consoles have different time periods to have patches sent through. Sure it’s a big mess up with coding but give them a break don’t bully them. Just save your cakes and have fun with the game (even if it is a buggy mess rn)

So because you don't know how things work in the software world, you make wild assumptions. (not everyone in this thread but most) You are so entitled, mistakes are made, unintentional bugs happen and even pass QA. hell MSDOS 6.0 was qa'd packaged and sent to retalers for sale with a benign virus in it to test the QA group. this is why 6.1 was issues so quickly OBVIOUSLY QA didn't see it or didn't catch it. The product worked with no visible flaws and then sony/microsoft/steam does their op check and it worked so all cleared it.
GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSES. if you haven't noticed the message the event has been extended to the 14th 11am eastern and a bonus blood point offering will occur on first login between july 7th and 14th. (one time login) This is the last that I have seen, if I am in error please let me know. If you know more how to QA a software product like this, apply to be a QA person. Sometimes a bug is extremely game breaking and it got past QA those are emergency patches and will be pushed faster than something that is a small non game breaking bug like an offering only affecting 1 person and for 36% more blood points than advertised in the description vice 104% for all 5 players. SEESH!

It will be fixed late next week and the event is extended until the 14th (instead of the 7th). So in fact, you have one week more to get Cakes and Event Items.

QA takes time for a game like this that are on all consoles, Nintendo and sony is probably the most time consuming obstacle to get passed and even if they have a fix right now internally, they have to plan which day its gonna be released on, and Im guessing they wont plan a release until all platforms are good to go.

It's a start - but they should be extending it a day for every day the event is bugged.
Also calling it now - a slap-in-the-face 50k BP as the "one-time-reward". I get 2x that much in one game. Without offerings.
Can you kindly point out where it was stated Tuesday? Upon inspection - they said "late next week".
