Bugged Challenge?

I’m doing one of the Tome challenges and it says “Kill 8 survivors by any means” okay well I got a 4K 2 of them died in my cage and the other 2 died on hook. So when the game ends it says I only got 2 kills. Why? It says “by any means” would them dying in the cage not be considered “any means”

    Death by cage should count. Sounds like a bug. Add it to the over flowing list of bugs.

    You got it the wrong way, "killing by any means" means they have to die without being sacrificed. So you can: Mori them, Mini-Mori them, let them die in a cage, getting eaten by the entity in EGC, Bleed out on the ground.

    Basically everything that makes the other skull appear, if im not mistaken.

    I’m confused now. Cuz I did another game 3 died on hook and 1 died from final judgment and the challenge gave me all 4 kills as credit. I think it’s just bugged
