I know hooked survivors can still reveal him even behind a wall, so it's not just your side

I know he's hella bugged, I mained him while I was leveling him for perks and that ######### was either laughable or sad.

When I play ghostface I get revealed by the hooked survivor even when I shroud around the corner and walk off, the detection is so weird. That is including using the considerably reduces detection range add on.

You are just not looking at him right or you are trying to do it when most of his body is concealed.
There can be some weird things happening with stalking and revealing when dedicated servers and some faulty map assets are involded, but in 99% of cases, its just survivors doing it wrong.

It's bad on both sides. I can be peeking out from behind a box or something, barely look at the survivor for any time, and then quickly go back behind the box only for them to still reveal me from completely behind cover.
It's kind of like what Purgatorian said.

Pretty much this. Whenever I play GF I get snapped out when survivors don't even mean to because they suddenly run into a wall in panic when they realise what they just did. But there are also times I've VS'd GF and he was literally up my ass and STILL wouldn't stop stalking. Somedays I wonder if GF is just working as intended and he's just shy sometimes.

I reveal him all the time. It takes a bit of practice but once you got it you got it. A good way to get practice is to drop a pallet then have a stare off. Youll get it right eventually
