Which Stephen King chapter do you want the most?
Hi, as a Stephen King fan, I have always wanted one of his characters implemented into the game, so which characters would you want? I would personally love Randall Flagg or the crimson king from the stand, the dark tower, and insomnia.

I mainly want pennywise (yes I’m such a normie) but if I had to choose other than that I’d love to see Cujo or the mist (more as a killer who is this mist using creatures as their power). Love his books I really do but anything other than these and couple others like Randall Flagg would just be a waste of negotiating a license. I love the shining but talk about a killer that you could probably write and make your own with a good power rather than attempting to make it a license. As a huntress legendary skin now there’s where we can start talking.

Nah, you aren't a normie for wanting pennywise! I want him in the game as well, IT is one of my favourite books of his.

That sounds pretty cool about the mist having that ability.

i like IT too my favourite is tho carrie but i don't want her in the game she not a killer, she only killer if she is bullied into it which in the end they deserved what they got.

Uncle Red as survivor
Reverend Lowe as killer

The car. I don't remember the name of it, it's like Jessie or something. It runs down loops and one hit downs survivors.

Christine?

Pennywise as killer
Space turtle for survivor

Imagine having Maturin as a survivor, lol.

Of all of stephen kings works I feel like the children of the corn with the ability to be oblivious and crouch making them hard to see, they would have an ability to "torture" which when put in the downed state they would be forced to perform skill checks when within the killers terror radius if they fail any than they gain exposure they would use a farming scythe. Or the witch from the conjuring who would teleport to lockers and close windows/pallets she would use a small knife

He would be great at pallets! could probably vomit up some more jungle gyms ;)

Maybe killer's like christine can work in a special realm tied to them specially. This could also be a case for smaller characters like cujo and chucky but the dev's all ready discussed just rehashing the idea if so they would need multiple maps right?

For some reason no one really asks for a Carrie chapter which is unfortunate because i would really love a killer with telekinesis in game.

I dunno.
Most of my favorite King books are either a. Stories where the villain is a human who's been pushed too far. Or B. Children of the corn, which can't be adapted for obvious reasons.
Dreamcatcher had a fun alien monster, but if memory serves, that was described somewhat similar to what the Demogorgon ended up being in stranger things, so even though the book came out 10 years earlier, it's likely that the alien would be seen as a ripoff.
With IT we have Pennywise, which on paper sounds awesome, but I have difficulty conceptualizing how his power would work in the game. That's for smarter minds than mine.
Randall Flag would also be awesome, but he's pretty much the devil, so how do you balance that?
I say Jack Torrence. Sure he's just a human, but the lore of the overlook could give him some power related to ghostly info, and frankly, I just want the overlook as a map.

Hell through horror out the window lets get the dark tower and the last gunslinger Roland Deschain as a survivor and I don't know who as a killer maybe we could do the crab thing that ate his fingers but who knows.
Also we could get a perk that is just shooting the killer in the face

I admit I haven't read too many of King's books, but I still really like his work.
For a killer, I'd have to say either Jack Torrance or Pennywise. If I had to pick, Jack, though I really like both.
I know Jack is just a guy with an axe, but honestly, I kinda want more human-like killers like Legion and Trickster instead of big, monstrous powerhouses like Trapper and Huntress or deformed monsters like Hag and Blight.
Plus, the Overlook would be a fantastic map if done well.

While i'm personally all for more indoor maps, i don't think everyone would be a fan of the overlook hotel as a map considering the tight corridors and how extensive the whole map would be to cover all the iconic locations inside the hotel itself, and that's not even counting for the outside area and the massive labyrinth there.

Well that's thing, just take some liberties and make most of the map outside in the snow storm, and have only some of the map be inside the Overlook.

Best solution there, imo is to do what I really wish they did with RCPD. Cut it in half and make 2 maps. East/West. Top/bottom. Whichever

I don't think an east/west variant would be a good idea, if anything it just sounds like it would make the map too small to fit all 7 generators with enough distance to one another and make it too easy for the killer to camp the last 3, especially for those who know their way around the map.

Possibly, Im not sure. My experience developing any sort of maps for gameplay experience comes from Dming (and that was for AD&D, what the kids call 2.0, so it was a bit ago)
I just think cutting it into 2 maps in some way is the correct answer.

Hmm, interesting question. Going through Stephen King stuff most of the books don't really seem to have a good killer for the game (e.g. hard to imagine Cujo or Christine or the monsters from The Langoliers being in the game). A couple of possible exceptions.
- The Shining: Jack would be kind of an average killer honestly, he's just a guy with an axe basically, but the Overlook Hotel and its hedge maze would make for a kick ass map pack!
- It: Pennywise could be an amazing killer. There's at least one great concept trailer out for it even.
- Carrie: Carrie could be a fun killer with telekinetic abilities potentially. Hard to imagine her outfit being even bloodier when you Prestige her though!
- The Running Man: Maybe one of the Hunters? 🤷♂️

I don't actually agree with that approach, or at least i would first like to test it to see if it would be more beneficial than not, also i think that there could possibly be better solutions aswell for the map such as perhaps modifying the map a bit to have more ways to get up and down between both floors since they've already opened up more pathways than what there was originally in the RE2 remake, or adding more directional signs for people get easier around aswell.
