What's Your Overall Rating On: Jeff's Teachable Perks

Jeff is possibly the least-played Survivor in the game, and I really don't get why, especially considering his meme status as "Jesus".

And personally, I love his teachable perks. They're my favourite of any Survivor.

If you don't know what they are, here:

Breakdown: Any time you are unhooked or unhook yourself, the Hook breaks and the Killer's Aura is shown to you for 4/5/6 seconds.

A Hook broken by Breakdown takes 180 seconds to respawn.

Aftercare: Unlocks potential in one's Aura-reading ability.

You see the Aura of every Survivor that:

  • You rescued from a Hook or who rescued you from one.
  • You completed a Healing action on or who completed one on you.

They also see your Aura.

This occurs for up to 1/2/3 Survivor(s).

All effects of Aftercare are reset when you are hooked by the Killer.

Distortion: You start the Trial with 3 Tokens.

Whenever the Killer reads your AuraDistortion activates and a Token is consumed.

For the next 6/8/10 seconds while Distortion is activated, your Aura and Scratch Marks will not be shown to the Killer.

Distortion does not activate when you are in the Dying State or affected by Traps.

Okay, for some reason this posted three times and I don't know why. Just ignore the other two.

You mean it posted three other times. For a total of four. Because that's what I'm seeing right now.

Flag your other threads so the mods can delete the duplicates, they're more likely to do it if the guy who created the thread flags his own post asking the mods to delete it.

He's the least played character because he's humongus and louder than a NASCAR. Even when uninjured, he breaths heavier than bellows.

Breakdown is not that useful given the number of hooks on a map and after undetectable shadow-nerfed it even more.

Aftercare is good conceptually, but suffers from too many conditions and downsides.

Distorsion is just too limited in tokens.

I think Jeff isn't played a lot because his teachables are mediocre, they don't are good enough to be played as a strong character (Laurie) and they aren't bad enough to be played as a meme character (Quentin), he is just meh.

Breakdown - Very good perk in a sabo-build, but it's pretty underwhelming on every other build.

Aftercare - The ultimate aura reading perk for anybody who plays altruistically. This perk gives so much information to yourself and others, but sadly it requires a very specific playstyle to be better than Kindred.

Distortion - In my opinion, this is his worst perk. Prevent aura reading 3 times? Pathetic. Although blocking things like BBQ is useful, it's too limited to make any meaningful impact in the overwhelming majority of trials. It also doesn't block Killer Instinct or screams, making it even less useful.
