I used up my cells so I don't get the next premium pass...and I don't feel at all bad.

Totally I used my accumulated cells to purchase a skin (Rabbit Frank, which admittedly looks good). Why? I just loathe the grind of the challenges and the rewards are mediocre. I didn't want to use the cells to unlock another premium pass and feel somewhat obliged to grind away at the challenges in order to gain all the rewards. But I'm not mad, I'm relieved: I can just play the game when I want, how I want with no pressure.

As always, my opinion:

The first premium pass wasn't bad, but I feel the last two have been lacklustre and oversaturated with useless charms. I was grinding towards things that I had no use for.

-I have enough good skins and rarely go through my characters and alter them. All my characters are fine how they are.

-I have absolutely no use for charms. Like the crappy crowns, which I haven't bothered about, I would rather these weren't even in the game.

-Once I've read/watched the lore enteries, I would have no reason to go back to them. They're also all available to view on the internet.

I counted through the present pass and there were a total of zero items that I thought were worth grinding for.

Because I had originally spent money on the first pass and the cells have been rolling over, I felt I had to complete each rift in order to validate my purchase. But not anymore. I haven't got the time or desire to do so.

I understand some will say they get a 'sense of achievement'. Which is fine, but I find it all an unnecessary hassle.

And then there's the challenges: in many cases, they encourage reckless behaviour. I've done every single challenge in the three Tomes and I must say it was like pulling teeth, much like the equally soul-destroying achievement/trophies.

The fact that the Rift closes after a period of time is another annoyance: there is pressure to complete the challenges and tier up before you lose your unlocked rewards. I would sit there playing several games just to get further on the pass. It wasn't fun at all.

If people have the time and desire grind through the challenges, that's up to them. I personally have not got either.

But I still enjoy the game...in moderation.

Although I didn't have that much problem doing the Dwight challenges, the fact that it had to be done all in one match, with no indication of how far you got when failing, was a real turd.

Having to unlock a hatch with a key pissed me off no end. This task pretty much requires you to SWF, someone with a key, someone with a map with a black lock tracker. I've only ever found the exit hatch with key in hand three times in all my years of dbd since 2016 (only play by myself)

You shouldn't stress yourself for something you may not even want. I also use my cells to buy cosmetic peaces i really want but not to buy the battle pass.

I don't try to to get as much out of the battle pass as possible. I do the challenges that i think are possible (didn't even tried to do the unlock hatch with a key challenge) and everything i get from the free track is more of a bonus than a goal to achieve. If you really want something you dont play for fun, instead you stress yourself into more games which you dont even wanna play anyomore that day just to get some challenges. And when you start doing that, it only gets worse.

The charms are just there to fill empty slots in the rift. They only make it worse when you unlock a tier with a reward and when you claim it you realise it was only one of the charms.

I honestly spent most of them on tiers so I could get the Kate sweater sooner 😅

It's so much more fun when not worrying about challenges/achievements.

Was happily chasing SWF and stamping on the gen as Big Foot Bunny.

I always love the rift but you are correct that the charms are mostly useless. People only use the tier 70 or archive charms anyway. It's been a while since we did the rift survey so I'd hope the next rift has a lot better rewards.

When I saw this pass, I didn't buy it. I still saved my cells though, and then at some point I was at tier 70, and I bought it, as I then got the things for free. But had I only made it to tier 60, I wouldn't have bought it. So that's one good thing, that BHVR does by not giving us and XP bonus for buying the pass early, that is you can just see how far you make it, and if you make it to a total refund, you can just buy it there, thats at least what I did in this pass.

The most important thing is to do, what is fun and right for you. And the rabbithead is kinda cool, gratz on that.

I did this, with Plunderes instinct, got a purple or pink key in 50% of the games or so. But yeah it can be hard to locate.
