Underrated Horror Properties I Think Would Be Cool
DISCLAIMER: I know that not all of these would work in DbD exactly as I described them, but feel free to tell me how you'd change some of them :)
With all the talk lately of the Candyman DLC that's most likely coming in September and everybody talking about other DLCs they want in the game, I figured I should add my two cents and make a list of some underrated characters I'd like to see:
-Pinhead (he's first because I've seen others ask for him too, but obviously he's not on the same level of popularity as a Michael or Freddy)
-The Tethered from Us. Red could be the killer (her weapon obviously being the golden scissors) and Adelaide the survivor. The Us soundtrack would also be excellent chase music.
-The Robots from Chopping Mall. I am dead serious when I say that I think this would be so much fun. Sue me!
-The Cannibals from Wrong Turn. The movies themselves are less than perfect, but the design of the cannibals are cool and they'd definitely fit into the game.
-Male and Female Version of Norman Bates. PLEASE. Psycho is one of the greatest movies of all time and it would be really unique to see essentially the same person for both survivor and killer. (Logically it may not be able to work unfortunately but Mother herself could be the killer otherwise).
-Anything Vincent Price. House of Wax is the first one that comes to mind but really any of his most well-known characters would work.
-Nosferatu. For real. Out of all the classic monster movies, Nosferatu is the one I can see truly working well.
I'm sure there's more I can't think of right now, but I can always make a second thread.
I'll be making a new thread soon about potential Legendary DLC skins I'd like to see!

I'd love for The Thetered from Us to be in DBD. Definitely up there with my favourite horrors.

Definitely. The whole thing screams DbD material.

Clock Tower. Might be hard to come up with a power for The Scissorman, but I think having the classic Clock Tower song as his chase music would be amazing.

Actually never heard of that one! I'll have to check it out.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I wouldn’t mind a The Last of Us chapter, we already have Bill from a zombie game. The main problem there is the killer, a Clicker comes to mind first but there are a few problems with it (like blinding for example, the infected seem to be immune to light or simply don’t take notice of it).
Thinking a bit more, in The Last of Us Part II there is a random infected in a garage that’s seems to be quick, strong and somewhat intelligent with a unique design but hasn’t reached the Clicker phase of infected so he(?) could work. Not spoiling anything, but his backstory (Its from written notes, it isn’t part of the main plot) is harrowing and he does some dark stuff. Not sure what gameplay mechanics there would be though, maybe they can control spores to spread or disable interactions... I’m not entirely sure.

"Underrated" ... also I don't want any of those in DbD.

Just preference, I guess. We already have a Clown, Trapper is just Jason with bear traps, and Chucky fundamentally wouldn't work in the game. Too short.
1 -
Do u mean stalkers?

Wasn't the entity based off of Pennywise true form though? Idk how he would fit. Chucky is way too short, and Jason would fit, but I don't think they can add him to the game yet.
1 -
How could he work tho? Ive never heard anyone explain this.

I just want a vampire killer tbh.

NOSFERATU. I'm tellin' you.

Pinhead is a must have for this game. The lore of Hellraiser was the biggest influence on the lore of DBD. So he'd fit right on in. His map, the Labyrinth, would be amazing.
Plus come September we will have Ash, Candyman, and Leatherface all in one game. It will fill weird not to have Pinhead not join his fellow B-lister icons.

He can either mean stalkers or the one in the hospital garage (the one with all of the infected fused together)

I think The Miner from My Bloody Valentine is a severely underrated horror property that could fit perfectly into Dead By Daylight.
Catchy Ballad too:
These aren't underrated properties they're some of the most heavily requested from the community. Therefore they don't need to be mentioned on a thread which is about more unknown properties that people aren't talking about too much.
Doesn't matter, Pennywise is confirmed to be the Devs #1 pick on their own in-house wishlist to make it into the game as far as licenses go. If they can negotiate a deal to get him in, then you can bet your bottom dollar he will make it in regardless of the lore, they're the ones who wrote the lore in the first place after all. They decide what's canon and what's not, what makes sense and what doesn't, etc. so on and so forth

Not quite, I thought that they could work, they show some intelligence but their gameplay would be pretty similar to killers we have seen so far. Plus, stalkers don’t really have a “unique” design like Clickers, Bloaters or any other infected.
And if you meant about the guy in the garage, I was talking about a guy called Boris, just before the part when you meet one of Ellie’s male friends, that’s as spoiler free as I can go. He was the appointed leader of a QZ town that felt betrayed by his own people so he forced some of his own to get infected. (He’s the infected that you get the bow from)
EDIT: I know he’s not mainstream or relevant to the plot of TLOF but he is an infected, has a unique design, has a weapon besides claws, shows intelligence above the normal stalkers and runners, has a dark backstory, was previously known for his hunting abilities - so he’s stronger, quicker and has greater knowledge of how to kill prey, not to mention he has a name, which is better than most infected.

Oh ok.

Pinhead 😃

1. Blob 1958 - in no possible way would it work in dbd, but name a horror icon with a catchier theme
2. Ghostbusters - new movie on the horizon, missing the opportunity would be criminal. Vigo the Carpathian is an instant killer, survivor could be like legion and be the Ghostbusters.
3. Tremors - get a graboid, bout as functional as chucky, but worms borrowing under the map would be balanced.
4. Terminator - a killing machine. Has more one liners than any other killer.
5. Prey - a video game that is more deserving than pizza sim 1987. The Phantoms would make good killers, the ability to create a clone that runs around. A Volunteer could be the survivor, or a pyscotronic technician.

Completely agree with everything you said except the fact that you called Bubba a B-Lister?
Without Texas Chainsaw Massacre, the slasher genre doesn't exist. No Halloween, no Nightmare on Elm Street, No Friday the 13th, etc.

I feel like Trapper is already so similar to Harry Warden that giving My Bloody Valentine it's own chapter doesn't make much sense.
A Trapper legendary would be more fitting and, imo, more realistic to wish for.
