Do we get shards fast enough?

"Each non-licensed character can be unlocked by playing approximately 25-30 hours."

I take it this is true if you do great in every game. I've got close to 40 hours and have around 4000 shards. Are there any tips other then get great because right now I'm not believing we (or at least the majority) can unlock a character in approximately 25-30 hours.

    I needed about 100 hours to unlock the last dlc and that was saving 1k of shards before the update.

    I don't know how much cost the old killers, but the new definitely is not 25-30h.

    It feels like takes me a lot longer to go up 1 level(i'm around mid 30's) then it would take to go from 1 to 8/9, where the reward would be better.

    Both sides, meaning Killer and Survivor dailies.
    And no, player level is character shared, so levelling up multiple characters would not impact the progression.

    Devs said that you could play casually and unlock the DLC in that 3 month timeframe.
    That is bullshit, sorry to say that. 18k shards take ages

    Well I'm still a noob but yeah it seems like a bs statement. They should really change that because reading that was part of the reason why I decided to buy the game...in sure I'm not the only one either. Pretty disappointing to find out that it's going to easily take twice as long. I understand cosmetics costing more but then again this isnt a free to play game.

    It's probably that time if every match is perfectly optimal. Meaning you spend just enough time in the match to get the max amount of XP + an Iridescent Emblem for that 18XP bonus. I imagine it'd count the 600XP for both "First X match of the day" thingy too.

    It takes way too long to get enough shards. They either need to decrease the amount of shards needed to purchase items or increase the amount we get.

    Right? I feel like if you get levels into devotion you should be getting some more rewards or something. It was kind of depressing.

    After all devotion means being loyal or dedicated to what you are doing. Whats the point of being devoted if nothing is gonna happen? :cry:

    IMO just save the shards for the Shrine of Secrets and buy teachables on killers/survivors you really have no interest in playing. I was looking at doing the same thing but the amount of time required to grind out the shards for DLC is pretty nasty. Just not worth it.

    It's about double the amount of hours they stated.

    8 games is about 2 hours of gametime which is 300 shards.

    60 hours = 9000 shards.

    At the exp menu when the game ends you get the match xp for playing then it will give you 300xp for daily playing which you can get once as survivor and once as killer once a day.
