Flashlights are the only item (outside of keys) without a perk
As per title flashlights are the only item in the game on the survivors side which straight up give an ability that cannot be gained outside of it (ie from perks.) Keys with their ability to open the hatch are the only other thing not granted by perks (whatever your opinion on this, I think we can all agree that ability should remain on the item outside of some form of perk that debuffs the player charecter greatly)
That being said whilst I'm not all exactly for giving survivors supernatural abilities, a perk that grants flashlights from chests (like pharmacy) or one that forces a player to become injured but gives them flashlight like abilities would be balanced imo/make it easier to collect items of this sort.
Something like : your first chest opened grant a flashlight and/or due to your close connection to the horrific supernatural are granted the ability to flare light from your hands. Doing so causes you to be granted the broken status effect for 60s, with the perk going on cooldown for 16s.

I don't mind a perk like Pharmacy that would give you a guaranteed flashlight on the first opened chest but no "lightbeams from your arms" bs please.

same, i mean they already have base ones in the game (to use as base values to base the event ones off of) so adding them isin't too difficult a task
Same here, like i wouldn't miiiiiiiind it to some extent but would prefer it to not be that, but at the same time really would like an easy flashlight or light perk
