Why Cheryl?

Silent Hills chapter has been out for awhile. So it kinda bugs me i didnt notice this until now. Cheryl if from SH3. I dont think PH is even in SH3. James would have been a more logical choice. Which makes me also wonder. Did we only get Cheryl so the devs could sell us the nurse lisa cosmetic?

    Dave Richard's stated they chose characters and aspects over the game series not just one of the games to try and have something from them all.

    We got the map from SH1, killer from SH2 and survivor from SH3. It's not meant to all be from the same game.

    They picked one thing from every game I think

    Sh 1 : Midwich

    Sh 2 : Pyramid Head

    Sh3 : Cheryl (Heather)

    Okay that makes a little more sense. I was wondering if greed had a hand in it. Like in stranger things it felt like they gave us Steve so they could sell us Scopes Ahoy instead of Billy. Which would have made more sense seeing as how he isn't on the show anymore and being stuck in the realm of the fog, risking torment to save others could be viewed as a form of redemption.

    Imo because they wanted more money and the community tends to like female survivors more. Proof of this is them including Lisa Garland but no Male legendary skin. I think there's better characters than Cheryl.
