Martian Gothic: Unification Chapter Idea
So, for those who don't know, Martian Gothic: Unification was a survival horror game released on PC then ported to PS1 in 2000. The game itself is very unpopular, due to it bomb in sales and some execution issues. However, this game is incredibley creative, has a very tense and perfect environment for horror, has a great plot and witty dialogue. I love the game so I decided to make a fan-made licensed chapter for it. Enjoy :)

Perks:
The Sovereign:
Trimorph - The 3 different strands of Mars' bacteria infecting seperate live organisms makes for a terrifying effect.
When 3 survivors are within 20m/24m/28m of each other the perk activates. While active, the survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect. The effect lasts for 15 seconds after deactivating.
"People began clumping together. Threefold beings. Abominations." - Judith Harroway
Non-Dead - The DNA of the Kurakarak possess the bodies of the once living.

Regal Tomb - Opening the Sarcophagus unleashed all the evil of Mars.
Anytime a survivor fully searches a chest, they scream revealing their location and cause all survivors within 48m to suffer from the Exhaustion status effect for 40/50/60 seconds

Martin Karne:
Stay Alone, Stay Alive - You had a secondary mission directive "stay alone, stay alive." Making your ability to investigate alone, while aiding in your crew's survival, vital.
When you are further than 48m/40m/36m from a teammate this perk activates. While active, all other survivors auras are revealed to each other.
"'Stay alone. Stay alive.' That's what they said. And that's what we've done." - Diane Matlock
Sayonara - Death has threatened you too many times in the past for you to be complacent now.
When you're next hook will result in your death this perk activates. While active, press the active ability button to break into a desperate sprint and move at 150% of your normal movement speed for 3 seconds.

Never played Martian Gothic: Unification so I apologize if I miss any references. Looks like a neat little game though.
Psionic Link - A very interesting idea, but if I'm to be quite honest, outside of initial release and rookies, I can't imagine this bothering veteran players all that much. "Oh, it's The Sovereign, just hold S instead of W when she hits me with her #########." Maybe if it randomized the controls? Although that could be too annoying.
Whispers Of The Dead - I noticed a lot of the killer ideas being posted here are stealth killers, mine included. It's nice to see and I'm hoping behavior takes note. This seems like a good ability to combo with another ability. Hmm...
Here's an Idea! You ever play Left4Dead 2? If not, look up the Jockey. Instead of inverting controls, have the psionic link work like a telekinetic Jockey. Not 100% full control, like 60/40, but you can use your WASD keys to influence the survivors movement any direction you desire for a few seconds. Combine that with the ability to hide yourself, and you got a super spooky killer.
---
Trimorph - Could be OP? Definitely an early game item that will get the ball rolling. Late game will find it's use dwindling to unusable. I think it could work. Great for sneaky killers.
Non-Dead - This is one of those perks that only works in the late game, which is always risky. Problem is, after you hook someone the survivors are going to have an idea as to where you are. On crowded indoor maps it could work, but open maps would just be meh.
Regal Tomb - Seems a tad-situational but quite powerful at the same time. Especially if everyone is lumped together. Main problem with these type of perks is, "fool me once shame on you..."
---
Martin Karne - A reverse bond. I think it would be good. Maybe OP if you were using it with bond?
Sayonara - Dead Hard that doesn't use exhaustion but can only be used when you're about to die. Honestly, this is one of those perks that seem good but end up being outclassed by other perks. It's the fact that it only works when you're about to die. Meaning it's an empty slot the rest of the match which could of been used with a perk to keep you from getting in that crappy spot.
Infomesher - A simple but very useful perk. Do survivor things, gain aura reading. I think it's good.
Best feedback I can give. It's hard for me to judge perks. Some seem good but end up being crap. Others seem like crap and end up being useful when played right.

Psionic Link - you'd be suprised how awkward inverted movement controls can be, especially when under pressure. But I am really intrigued by the Jockey controls. First killer to make use of the D-pad on controller while also moving around freely, very intrereting idea. Could work for a seperate killer idea too, as well as replacing my idea for this one.
Trimorph - well, the survivors would be alerted to the fact they're Exposed so I doubt it'd be OP, definitely a good perk that punishes clumsiness and carelessness from the survivors in a brutal way.
Regal Tomb - it could also be looked at as a detterent to searching chests too. Since Keys are very common lately, i'd say a fair few players may use this.
Sayonara - with how common tunneling and camping is, a perk that allows a survivor to actually get solid distance when dead on hook could be very useful. Especially combined with Adrenaline and a second exhaustion perk like Sprint Burst or Lithe could be uncatchable.
It's all solid feedback. thanks for taking the time to enjoy my idea :) i'd definitely recommend watching a walkthrough of it on youtube. 'Mikennemonic' did a good playthrough w/commentary of it.
