Priorities?
The dev's said that they were happy the way Billy was. So why would they change him before iri head huntress? Matchmaking still sucks. Hitboxes -_- why are they changing things that don't need changes before they fix real issues? They're procrastinating so hard and it's annoying that they keep doing things nobody asked for instead of doing things that most if not all players have a problem with.

They probably wanted to change Bubba and Hillbilly was easily doable alongside. They also said they were MOSTLY happy with Hillbilly iirc.
honestly, it seems like it doesn’t matter what they do, community will always find reasons to complain..

well they were working on Server Hit Validation, but since the PTB was a complete dumpster fire of bugs and latency we never got that far.

Ah yes, what a well designed add on. Not only does it depend on survivors having a flashlight, they also need to shine it on Billy while he's not breaking pallets/picking up survivors, aka the only times survivors that aren't rank 20 use flashlights.

Yeah people are going to complain because everyone is different. If the dev's do anything there will always be people complaining and there will always be people happy with it. Not everybody's the same. The argument of "someone always complains" is pretty dumb imo. Sorry if that sounded mean.

How was hillbilly easily alongside bubba in any way other then thematic they recieved very different changes and probably actually put more effort into billy then bubba, the addons I can understand since they shared a lot of addons but power wise they went in completely different directions for their changes.

Didn’t sound mean. But your argument of „most of not all players have a problem with it“ was way more dumb. It’s the forums and the vocal social networks community part that have a problem with it. You don’t really see the feedback by casuals. But even here you can see some people happy with it.
Well, the Addon changes required a power change, if they changed Hillbilly’s addons with the old power unchanged they would have to redo the addons against when his power is looked at, so why not do it together? Also, and that’s just me assuming, while the powers are different I can imagine that the coding behind the chainsaws is still somewhat similar, kinda like Myers and GF (leaks said that GFs power was based on Myers before he was officially revealed iirc)

I mean they didnt change his addons then go woop guess we need to change his power too they changed the power first then changed the addons or they made the decision at the same time plus bubba and billy dont share any of the same addons anymore so they didnt have to change billy at all and all they would've had to do was not change the addons effects but change the name and boom jam they saved themselves a lot of work.

Yeah they probably planned it before and didn’t start with the addons. First doing the power and then the addons is the way to go obviously. They didn’t have to change billy but they still decided to for reasons we don’t know.
we know though that they were changing Leatherface and there was demand for changing both addon sets of the chainsaw boys. They were also saying they were mostly happy with billy. We also know that billy was always considered high tier by the community and there were times where he and nurse were the only ones you would see on red ranks for a reason. That was not the most balanced killer.
i am not even saying the rework/nerf he got was justified (I really didn’t see it and am not interested as of now) BUT the fact they reworked him didn’t come out of thin air and was actually expected together with Bubba change..

Just because something is good does not mean it is broken or unbalanced most of the killers have glaring weaknesses that need at least some help and there are a few killers that are overtuned billy was not one of them and no ones been complaining about him so to the sure it wasnt out of thin air they have and discuss things internally but to the player base this was completely out of left field and all we have to go off of is what they've said which contradicts their actions, they themselves said that they were happy with where he is and that the most skilled player usually came out on top with him. They have so many other killers that need treatment more then him one way or the other, the only thing anybody ever complained about were 2 addon combinations, crack billy and insta saw, and if they just nerfed his addons everyone would've been fine, other then the confusion some would have over how useless some are but whatever most of the chain addons were useless anyways, but then they said "let's double dip" and "tweak" his base power that no one was complaining about because it was already one of, if not, the most balanced base power in the game and spend all this dev time and money on again something no one wanted then or wants now.

going by the statements of the devs, Legion and Clown are both fine and in a good place and don’t need reworking. You are mixing community opinions with devs statements. They said they were mostly happy with Billy’s state, that doesn’t equal to „he was the most balanced and should not be reworked at all“.
also, again, many people expected a billy rework alongside Bubba, maybe not a rework like we have gotten but it was kind of expected together for a while.

Who are these many you speak off, your hindsight?, I've watched a lot dbd content and been on the forums for awhile, I follow their twitter, and watch a lot of dbd twitch, so when I say my opinions are backed up by more then just a few people I play with or anything like that I've talk dbd and especially billy with literal thousands of people and few to none have ever bitched about Billy's base power only his addons. So that's where I based my opinions on, and then I try out this "minor" change to billy that has completely gutted his fun factor making it not so minor.

I think that question can not be answered by anybody in the community but by the devs themselves. Everything else is just speculation and I do not want to assume their reasoning.

Also clown and legion are in a good place tf?? Is this because that balance dude said clown was underrated and his "true potential" was just hiding from everybody? And legion is easily considered one of the worse killers in the game for a reason idc if he farms green ranks.

Yeah see. Why do you value the devs opinion on them being happy with Billy but disregard their statements about killers considered weak?
also, again, I didnt say anyone asked for a billy nerf. I just said that people expected addon reworks for both Chainsaw brothers at the same time. And the power rework is just something that was always coming with the addon rework, but admittedly that’s just me using common sense.

Because what they said about billy lines up with every other piece of information I've ever gotten on dbd where as what they've said contradicts everything ive ever heard and experienced about him and everything I've been told about him from killer mains that have literally thousands of hours of playtime and way better at killer then I'll ever be, so if clown has this secret ######### technique that makes him such an underrated killer then they better show it where as I've as I said before hundreds of people back up that billy is a high skill high reward killer whose base kit never needed to be touched.

Most players dislike issues like hitboxes, glitches and bugs, matchmaking etc. Everytime I've seen someone argue against that a majority of people in their comments are disagreeing. I think that it's pretty common for those issues to be complained about.

Idk why, she's honestly one of their best creations. Interesting power and character design, and it's incredibly fun to play her when she works. It's so sad they ignore their most ingenious invention.

he did not need his power changed. They couldve reworked his addons around his power. LOOK AT WHAT THEY DID WITH WRAITH. Changed his add ons and didnt touch his power.

That was before whoever they hired with the cooldown addiction started working on those things. Can you imagine if they did that to him now? He'd have a cooldown and like 4 useful addons.

I promise you the game is a buggy mess for both sides. I one time self cared instead of dropping a pallet. The problem? I dont run self care.
