Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

listen i do have 2000+hs and ive been playing both sides mostly killer because i find it way more fun and also harder and i like the challenge, to me survivor always was easy mode and not very skillfull, however, i do understand why SWF are so strong and game breaking, the efficieny they have is stupid, they make good reads after good reads all the time not even a second is wasted (good 4 man) because they can talk eachother and not waste time, important seconds that are actually THE BIG THING when you are at higher ranks not even talking about the several extra perks you get by default and of course the weaker OoO without any downside since your teammates can tell you where the killer is all the time. But putting that aside i played by myself both sides and hundreds of hours as survivor alone and i just cant anymore its been a while since i stopped playing alone, and why? dont get me wrong i may do some challeges solo since some of them are so selfish that id rather not doing them with my friends because some of them are so scummy but still, i dont do it with the intention of yeah im gonna try to play good and escape, no, im gonna play to get that challenge and thats it because of how frustrating it is to play solo survivor.

now, i stopped because of matchmaking and stupid awful decisions my mates make all the time, because you get mad when you perform a 2 min or 3 min chase and no ones does anything, i get mad when people connstantly keeps making stupid decisions over and over again and dont get me wrong i make mistakes but there is a limit, and rank 1 survivors shouldnt make those dumb decisions over and over again even if ranks are not the best way to see how skilled a survivor is but i mean, it should mean something.

i know SWF breaks the game, because its truth no one is denying that is and can be unfair going against a full experience squad even if u are really good at the game and you have thousands of hours in the game there are gonna be teams when you felt there wasnt anything you could have done to win and thats is kind of stupid and to that point SWF can break the game and they dont really need to be that extremely good just good coordination can be the key, just that, and no side killer or survivor should have that amount of power, wich is the reason why teh game is unbalanced. but is what it is, sadly matchmaking is bad, sadly even if survivors have lots of hours they are not efficient, they make bad plays all the time, not good reads, lots of stuff that could have been done in SWF is impossible in solos, and is way more unatractive overall. i do get what killers say because i play both sides, but at the same time, a good killer will ROFLSTOMP a group of solos without much effort because of lack of the thing that also breaks the game, coordination that SWF do have, and dont get me wrong i do stomp a 4 group of solos 19 out 20 times the other one someone escapéd by hatch, i do know what solos can and can not do after so many hours playing this game, you can even feel it, is way more opressive, way more intense and also irritating at times, a whole difference experience.

so, is possible to balance the game? i dont think so, the game is what it is, if u play solo you get demolished and is unfun unless some kind of miracle happens wich is 1 of 20 matches being all 4 good individuals wich is very rare and still they are gonna struggle to win against a good killer.

so solutions? i dont know i dont think they are turning mics off so there is no real solution apart from big nerfs to SWF. there u go. sorry for the long post and not perfect english but i did the best i could.

Funny enough i escape more of my matches when i play solo. Theres this psychological thing that when you play with friends you tend to want to benefit the team more than you would playing alone, you immediately stop repairing the gen to rush for the save, you stop breaking the totem to go take a protection hit and that totem turns into NOED. I feel like swf groups make a lot more mistakes than solo and it benefits the killer. I love when theres flashlights in the lobby when im killer because i know they will be trying to go for saves rather than rushing the gens giving me more time to adjust and patrol. Sure theres the occasional sweaty group that will pretend like they are playing in the pro league of legends tournament for the million dollar cash prize, but i find those far and few between. We tend to remember the bad games more than the good ones and thats just a fact of life, youll remember someone called you fat but you quickly forget the one that called you beautiful

So survivors should be punished for playing well and bad ones rewarded? I get that you're saying the whole voice comm try-hard swf is game breaking but to me it seemed a lot like you were criticizing your swf for playing well. Yeah efficient teams are genuinely uncounterable, but you usually never play against them. In all the time I've played killer I've only gotten teams like this maybe 4 or 5 times. Over the span of 2 years. I don't think things should really be balanced around this, considering the fact that these teams are so rare. But it does highlight core problems with the game. If survivors did genuinely apply themselves to nothing but the objective it can end in about 4 minutes.
