New TV picture settings
I just got a new TV (40 inch, 1080p and I play on PS4, if it matters) and I don't like how DBD looks on it compared to my old one. I can't really explain what I don't like.
Anyone who is very satisfied with how DBD looks on their TV or monitor could you let me know what your settings are? Stuff like brightness, contrast, color, tint, and sharpness. I feel like each TV is a little different but maybe I can get it in the right ballpark with some help?

I don't know how to give you those kind of settings. Everyone prefers different color settings. I'd try playing with the presets on your T.V. and then fine tuning what you don't like about your favorite profile.

If someone recommends settings that they love then I might love them too lol. I guess I prefer cooler colors as opposed to warmer. I can't seem to get my TV in the sweet spot between too dark and too washed out looking.
I watched a movie last night and I thought it was perfect but then I booted up DBD and it just doesn't look good.

DbD is a hard game to adjust for. I'd recommend trying to adjust it with a browser or video open, something that you'll easily be able to see differences on and then just leaving it. Adjusting strictly for DbD is a pain unless you have multiple profiles on the T.V.

Ok so it's not just me then lol. It's so weird how pretty much every other game looks good (even acceptable is fine) and then I start DBD and cringe because the colors seem all wrong and unnatural.

No problem. It's partly designed that way because if you could adjust the color and brightness settings in game it would be harder to balance certain aspects of the game, hence why they removed the moonlight offerings and made the lighting standard.

Does your tv do what's called the "soap opera" effect? I personally really like it but I hear its incredibly jarring for most peoples vision. Maybe it's that?

If your TV has game mode I’d recommend switching that on when you play DBD. Other than that I’m not sure what settings would work best but I hope you enjoy your new TV. :)
