Make DS and BT work with cages
As is right now, it is too easy to tunnel someone out of the game as Pyramid Head, get them into torment then hook them, come back to the hook, down them then cage them and then go to the cage and kill them. I feel like BT and DS should work with cages so that he can’t get away with tunneling as much.

The killer can't see the aura of the cages though.

If you were hit by a Pyramid Head shortly after coming out of a cage, he either had a lucky guess or had someone lead him to you. He can't see where the cage spawns, and it moves if he stays too close to it
3 -
If you're STILL getting downed by PH after getting out of cages, you REALLY need to get better at the game, or better yet just stop running into the trails
19 -
Nope. Cages are not hooks and if they did this they'd need to do the same for killer perks like BBQ.
10 -
All hook perks should work with cages, they act as hooks when they take away your hook states.
6 -
You still get a noise notification when someone is saved.
2 -
The cage always spawns at the farthest relative to the pyramid head, so it's pretty easy to predict where the cage will appear.
5 -
“You’re bad at the game” Tell me why you disagree instead of just trying to invalidate something by saying someone is bad.
3 -
You're placed at the literal farthest possible location from Pyramid Head's location when you're caged. He still needs to travel to you. I stand by he still had some help.
1 -
Then how does most every Pyramid Head easily find the cages?
1 -
They don't. They take educated guesses on where they were put, and if they take too long trying to find it it'll get moved if they're too close.
It really is an educated guess or a lead straight to it. If he was taking the educated guess route, you're still getting tunneled so it doesn't really matter lmao

ever think your maybe just bad cause your crutch perks cant carry you?
4 -
I rarely ever use those perks actually.
0 -
They actually do find the cages quite a lot. I’m not the only person who has been experiencing this either.
2 -
then why are you complaining?
2 -
They're not hook states, they're sacrificial states. Hooks were simply the only way for the killer to progress them until now.
1 -
I'm sure they do. I'm sure everyone else feels the need to nerf the character so that GrootDude can beat it as well.
1 -
Because I’m tired of Pyramid Head getting away with that strategy.
3 -
im tired of seeing survivors bring the same perks every game
3 -
So, if Survivor left the cage next to the pyramid head and Killer, knowing that there is no borrowed time and DS, as well as exhaustion didn't reset, down this survivor, means that this survivor is bad in the game? lul?
4 -
DS and BT aren't anti tunnel perks as the devs said. Tunneling isn't even a bad thing, it's the most optimal choice for a killer to down the injured person, slug them and chase. It's the survivor's fault if the killer tunnels, because of how much the survivors will dive bomb a hook, it's so easy to prevent tunneling without DS and BT, such as bodyblocking.
1 -
as a Wraith main, can confirm. I get denied significantly more because of player actions/choices than I do their perks making it a valid option. Sometimes the perks do help, like not knowing BT is still active when I hit Billiam an eternity after he was unhooked by Dweezy, but the vast majority of the time I'm just straight up getting denied by actual counter play, not perk reliance.

- The cage spawns on the other end of the map from PH
- PH CANNOT see the cages as of the most recent patch
If you still can't reliably stealth away, no amount of nerfs and buffs will save you.

I don't see a problem with letting all the hook related perks work with cages. Hell if you made the aura from Bbq trigger 40 meters from where the survivor goes into a cage PH could probably begin a new chase almost immediately.
4 -
For some reason it sent my comment without and words so I’m gonna actually respond now. They spawn at the opposite end of the map, you can go to that end. You get a noise notification whenever people get taken out of the cage if you can’t find the cages then they guess that is your problem.
0 -
And therein lies the problem, he'd be able to see every survivor around him.
0 -
Tunneling is a choice you make as a killer, it isn’t my fault as a survivor that you choose to come back to the hook and it isn’t the survivors I face fault if I choose to come back to the cage.
2 -
People wouldn’t run perks like BT and DS so much if tunneling and camping wasn’t such a big issue.
3 -
Which would make him a much more interesting killer to face. Currently every PH I face likes to proxy and tunnel everyone they can. It's ridiculously boring. Needing to worry if they will cage a survivor. And have you be revealed by Bbq while you're really close would add some excitement and variety to PH.
2 -
lol, yes they would. DS alone allows them to make plays they wouldn't otherwise be able to make, like forcing the killer to grab them.
3 -
So do perks like balanced landing, unbreakable, flip-flop and mettle of man. You know why they aren’t used often? Because they are situational, if tunneling and camping wasn’t such an issue, DS and BR would become situational.
2 -
Yep, if hook perks worked with cages then he would be so much more fun to face.
2 -
I think now thatPyramid Head can't see the cages aura it's fine the way it is. If they did that they should make cages work with all perks that are affected by hooks, and that would become quite complicated I guess.
The one thing the devs still really need to change in my opinion is to have the tormented status effect removed from a survivor if Pyramid Head hooks the survivor. Right now he can just hook a tormented survivor and then tunnel him off the hook without having to fear DS at all.
3 -
My thing is that he can put you back into torment so it still wouldn’t really fix it. The cage is supposed to spawn at one of the farther spawns from you so he can usually predict where it is and he gets a noise notification when someone is removed from the cage.

survivors cause camping and tunnelling
1 -
They already nerfed PH's ability to tunnel, he's a bad killer, any more than this is utter bull. If you want to complain about certain killers being best at unfun gameplay, then complain about oni and leatherface too. Oni's the slugging king and Leatherface is the camping king, just because PH takes the position of tunnelling king doesn't mean he should be nerfed. The entire point of the cages is to counteract those perks, without them, the cages would be even more useless than they are now.
1 -
Then why do killers camp when no one is around at five gens left? Why do killers tunnel at five gens left when no one is hook rushing? Survivors can influence it sure but killers are the cause.
1 -
Oni is actually pretty fun to face and nobody places LF because they think he is weak. Pyramid Head is actually quite strong, don’t know why you think he isn’t.
0 -
You DO know how much space there is on "the other end", right? If PH goes through the time an effort to bother doing that, the gens will fly thanks to him having zero mobility. Plus the survivor presumably got downed around the gens that are being worked on, so they get sent to the part of the map where there's no objectives to defend, leaving the other survivors to work on gens with no interruptions.
0 -
Are the survivors not saving? Isn’t that an interruption? It really doesn’t take as long as you say, excluding indoor maps.
0 -
He's not horrible, but he's far from strong. His cages are situational, with them being more likely to actually hurt you rather than help (since the survivor is randomly put across the map from, allowing survivors to instantly save and lose the little pressure you had), so you either save it until final judgment or use it when you know they have ds. Survivors rarely step on trails unless they absolutely have to so now half your kit is rarely used even if you're given the opportunity to use it.
Punishment of the damned is worse though, it's good in theory but "in theory" doesn't exactly apply in reality. Due to the lack of being able to move left and right and the inability to flick, any survivor can easily predict where you're going to shoot, but it gets worse. It takes a second to get it out meaning you can't quickly pull it out and fire like the other two ranged killers, there's a giant ass warning where it's gonna hit and it's delayed so it's easily dodgeable, and with the extreme punishment for missing, you're only gonna go for guaranteed hits or shots you absolutely need to hit (like say you won't catch up before the reach the exit gate so you risk the shot), but since the window is tight for the shot (due to both getting it ready and the delay of the shot), survivors can easily fake a pallet or a window to get you to fire, if you hesitate they'll have enough time to dodge after vaulting or throwing the pallet, but if they realize that then they can just fake it like I said earlier. This makes his ranged attack the worse of the three, and since his other side of his kit is so situational, it makes him a pretty bad killer, well more like mid-tier.
Also for some context, I play on console so the controls are pretty ass anyways but I have him on P3 (with most of the bloodpoints earned while playing him) so it's not like I'm talking out of my ass here.

The reason killers camp is cause there is no reason for killers to leave the hook unless they see another survivor or run bbq and chili even then with it survivors can do hide behind a gen or go into a locker. Killers also have to tunnel to win at certain times if a survivor was just unhook and on death hook with two gens left your gonna tunnel him to death cause you have no choice other than to lose. You survivor mains also loop around the person on the hook then complain about camping and most of the time the survivor has ds you leave them 30 seconds later you find them they let themselves get grabbed and you just got hit with ds for not tunnelling. As a killer i have no perks that let me just erase my ######### ups like you survivors do if i chase a survivor to a play with a strong setup and no gens i lose cause i commit to a chase i shouldnt have while if survivors make a ######### up and get to greedy with pallets no problem just dead hard and you just extended the chases an extra 10-40 seconds. Imagine if the killer had a perk that could reset a fully done gen. But second chance perks naw those are fair oh your ruin we gonna nerf that cause skill check are hard.
0 -
I also play console, my problem with Pyramid Head is just the cages, his cages counter a lot of perks and enable you to easily tunnel someone if you understand the spawns, how does that hurt you?
0 -
dude your asking the devs to remove the only thing good about him
1 -
I didn’t say remove it, making hook perks work for his cages would actually be good for him too.
0 -
I dont see the issue. Most killers tunnel off hook anyway and most survivors dont run DS or BT so.....
0 -
no it wouldnt he doesnt need another nerf dude plz play killer before saying dumb ######### like this and then realize how annoying ds
0 -
Why would anyone bother using the trail or the cages ?
They are a detrement to the killer at this point adding more nerfs would mean they abandoned the power
Give PH something else instead
1 -
I play both sides. Don’t make assumptions without evidence to back it up.
