Survivor Quitting

Just curious if anyone has any ideas how to better punish or deal with both DC's and survivors killing themselves on first hook because they "Got a killer they didn't like" or "didn't like their team." Honestly this has been a problem I've noticed as both killer and survivor that outright ruins games.

A few ideas that came to mind:

  • If a survivor dies within 20 seconds of being first hooked it counts as a DC. If all living survivors are hooked or downed, or become hooked/downed during this duration it IMMEDIATELY ends. (This obviously doesn't solve the problem but at least allows for a quick save before they kill themselves, likewise it doesn't prevent people from trying to unhook themselves with an honest intent or punish them if they are simply face camped to death on first hook. Oh and the last bit is so we don't punish survivors for dying on first hook via the games mechanics, like being last survivor and getting first hooked or being first hooked while everyone else is hooked.)
  • Upon DC from a game in progress the player is prevented from playing for 30 minutes to 1 hour (up from like 5-10 minutes I believe)
  • If a survivor DCs and the number of generators completed is less than the number of remaining survivors +1, one generator is fully "repaired" by the entity, the most repaired generator is selected. (Similar to the old way the game worked if a player DCed during a load)
  • If 3 Survivors DC the game automatically Ends, No hatch Plays, The killer Safety Pips or better, the remaining survivor safety pips but cant get better.

Not all these ideas need to be (or should be) implemented together, but I'm curious as to what people might think of harsher punishments on survivors quitting from games in progress via DC or first hook.
