What if every killer was once a survivor ?
Trapper hates hooks and has hook marks in his back. It got me thinking that what if every killer was once a strong survivor that eventually went crazy and was offered a release by The Entity ? They saw that killing was a way to educate survivors. Entity reminds me of Jigsaw and Trials reminds me of Jigsaw's Games.
What if Benedict went from a strong survivor to being a strong killer ? Then he eventually became a voice to help the killers. We see in his talks about Huntress that he almost admires her skill of hunting. Then we see his talks about The Pig where he is sitting beside her and watching as she sleeps. Then she wakes, sees him, then leaves. She doesn't try to hurt or kill him and I find that strange.
I love stories in scary movies (probably why I love the first Friday The 13th movie, but not the sequels and that also goes for Scream) and I've always liked wondering about "the driving force" behind these killers. DBD got me thinking of the possibility of Entity corrupting these people, setting them free to reap chaos, then being welcomed back to The Trials to serve The Entity.

I actually love this theory, every death they suffered drained their sanity and rational thoughts and reasoning that little bit more. Each and every death turning them to embrace the entity rather than try to run from it.
People may say 'well what about all the old killers? Where are they?' My answer, the entity did not see worth in them anymore and discarded them in whatever way the entity would do that.

I agree cause even some killers might get sloppy and useless in due time.

According to the lore this sometimes happens , sometimes survivors go crazy and become killers themselves..and sometimes they become hallowed out husks with no emotion left to feed on and are discarded
