Kindred. Once you've played the game enough, you'll memorize where the gens are located and learn to spread them out across the map, making Deja Vu not entirely necessary. Kindred is just more useful since you can see what everyone's doing when someone is hooked which can effectively save you and your team time.

Uhh Kindred. It's not even a debate really.

Kindred easily. Detective's Hunch is a superior version of Deja Vu if you need it.

    Kindred 1000%

I run it on all of my survivors regardless of build.

Kindred is going to be more useful most of the time. Deja Vu might be better if you're using a map, but I can't think of any other case where Kindred wouldn't be better.

Kindred is one of the best perks in the game

Deja Vu is a perk suited for newcomers, once you start to know how gen spawns Deja Vu is not needed.

The large amount of info Kindred gives you, especially as a solo player, easily outweighs the little amount that Deja Vu gives you.

As a guy that plays solo most of the time I really can't drop Kindred out of my build since I started running it after they changed it a while back.

Kindred. Every time I don't have it I hate it, to the point where I feel like survivors only have 3 perk slots

Every time someone is hooked I know:

    1. where everyone is
    2. where gens are that have started repairing
    3. who is going for the save or if it's up to me to go for the save
    4. where the killer is headed
    5. if the killer has BBQ & Chili

And if I get hooked, everyone knows all that.

Deja Vu is useful for beginners. Imo the ideal setup for someone brand new is Kindred, Deja Vu, and 2 unique perks. Sprint Burst + Adrenaline, Borrowed Time + Unbreakable, Self Care + Botany Knowledge, Iron Will + Calm Spirit. Nancy's perks are all VERY good for newcomers, but she's DLC

    Honestly you can't go wrong.

Kindred way more valuable as solo survivor than deja vu.

    Kindred.

Deja Vu is just so you won't potentially 3gen yourself. This can be easily done if you just keep tabs of which gens are being done. No need for the perk.

Kindred lets you see your teammates when someone's hooked + killer if in close proximity. This allows you to do many things.

-See if the Killer is camping.

-See which way the Killer is headed after hooking.

-See if the killer has BBQ.

-See if anyone's going for the save so you can focus on objectives.

-See if someone's being chased by the killer after the hook.

And if you're hooked, your teammates get all this information instead.

Deja Vu might be better if it showed the teammates the 3gens if YOU complete a generator. Even then, people just need to pay attention to which gens are being done to prevent the 3gen.
