Again IM SICK OF PLAYING AGAINST RANK 20 SURVIVORS as a rank 1 killer THIS TAKES ALL THE FUN OUT OF THE GAME. I like a challenge and baby survivors don't give me one and I'm sure they wouldn't give anyone a challenge. This is also super unfair to them as they are just starting out and shouldn't be matched . PLEASE bring back the old way of doing things. Do the average of the swf and same rank as the survivor i would rather have a long wait period to play than to go against rank 20s on either side. this literally murders the fun aspect of the game and quite frankly I'm beginning to not want to play AT ALL. I hope this maintenance touches on the MM and fixes this issue cause quite frankly IM LOSING MY FRICKEN MIND!!!!

Id like to know what happened between late 2018/early 2019 and today because matchmaking was never as bad as it is now

I know, right? If only BHVR was working on some sort of new system, like maybe an MMR system to replace these meaningless numbers?

ok i get that they are doing that. BUT!!!! there was a time where the ranks matched!!! Yes there was a bit of a wait time but it was worth it. and what im getting from your snarky lil comment was wait for MMR to which has no release date so god knows how long we have to wait for that. All im saying is fix it for the time being. do a hot fix for this. this is bs im not gonna keep playing this garbage theres no challenge AT ALL. Then if i switch to survivor i as a rank 1 survivor get rank 20 team mates against a rank 1 killer so please... tell me... How is this enjoyable?? maybe people who arent that good or cant handle red ranks wont mind but this is too much.

All I am trying to get across is this stuff is super BORING and no one wants to have a game end in 1 minute as a killer you get little points. also if you play back a little its almost like farming and that's even worse

To be fair they've been working on a new MMR for some time now, or so we're led to believe. The new MMR was supposed to go live in June, and that was straight from the horse's mouth. But now we're halfway into July without so much as a window of when to expect it.
I respect the devs wanting to take their time to get the MMR right. It's just hard waiting because matchmaking is such a s***show right now.

The new MMR will be ready "for a live release within the upcoming month", the Devs said in May.

Sorry for being "snarky," if you want to call it that but it's hard not to be when there's posts about this every single day and they've already said they're working on it. I'm not BHVR so you can't ask me how long, but the best we can do is take their word for it and keep in mind they're working on it. Making posts every single day isn't going to make the process go by any faster, and it's practically just spam. I understand what you're saying, but... Well like I said before, it's just already been said a million times.
I understand what you're saying here too. I wasn't really aware that they even said a certain timeline for when it's supposed to come out, but delays happen and whatnot. I can't say BHVR is the only company that I've seen have a delay like that, far from it.
Also, they said they'd be doing live tests. Just a hunch, but maybe that has something to do with the rank disparity.

I get that there are many posts on it but its because of how bad it is these days. I literally have no desire to play the game in its state and i stream it daily. Its like nails on a chalkboard. All im saying is if there are people constantly complaining about it you would think they would do something like a hotfix and bring back the old matchmaking untill MMR. Because God knows when they will drop it. And i will tell you if this matchmaking situation doesnt change soon im moving on until it does because i have 0 fun these days and thats hard to do for me. Ive been playing DBD through alot of the bull ######### and NEVER have i felt this way. It annoying man it really is.

Because BHVR is nuts lol. I tried going on my alt to see if my rank 20 would pull rank 1s and still i got babies nmw what i tried it was babies its out of control

I've just about hit my threshold for what I can take as well. I love DBD because when it clicks it can be a lot of fun! But when it misses? Holy cow does it miss! This was a match that I had just a few days ago. Needless to say I'm a little reluctant to play killer these days.

Well I'm sorry to hear that. As I said, my mentality is that all we can do is just take them for their word. When their new system is out, I'll start complaining too if that doesn't work. But it can only be delayed for so long.

I’m a rank 4 survivor being paired with rank 20 teammates AND a killer. It’s frustrating because all baby killers know to do is camp and tunnel 😖 and new survivors don’t know to do gens instead of going for the save against campers. Siiigh. Please fix matchmaking.
