How do I turn off AA?
I lost my ini files due to reseting my PC and I forgot how to disable it. I did some researching but none of the lines I tried seemed to work.
How can I turn off AA? I hate this blurr

gameusersettings in appdata, only change the top settings that relate to the preset like post processing (get TONS of frames back) and AA that way you can get frames from post processing being low, remove the blur from the crummy AA, and not have the rest of the game look like [BAD WORD] with lego shadows, blurry undetailed textures or sparkly/aliasy effects like the glows

Why do people even want to turn this off? It makes all the edges look super super jagged and it's harder to tell fine detail, like survivor's hair/random decoration their outfit has over background textures.

I simply dont like to have a smeary blurry picture. I want sharpness.

I had everything on 0 already but it still looks smeary

It literally does the opposite though.

Go to:
C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\DeadByDaylight\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor
Open Engine.ini in Notepad
Add the following lines to the bottom:
[/Script/Engine.GarbageCollectionSettings] r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0
Save and enjoy crisp visuals with no vaseline-o-vision.

doesnt work.. thats annoying. Why is this not simply in the ingame settings? Kinda annoys me rn

No it doesnt, you are completely wrong. At least in the case of DbD

the devs did express interesting in re-vamping the settings menu with the graphical overhaul; hold out hope.

yeah 0 would be low, and it goes up to med through ultra with 1, 2 , 3 ... the AA I believe causes alot of the blur when on higher resolution monitors, especially in combo with the resolution slider. it may be also, that a setting somewhere between 0 and 3 might be better iny our personal case, try 1/2 maybe for AA. just do not set read-only for the file, and do not change anything beside those specific settings and don't alter any other file than those settings in the gameusersettings.ini file or you risk a ban from what I've heard.
also, depending on what you meant by "smeary", in nvidia control panel I made aprofile under 3d settings for DBD and forced anisotropic filtering to x16 which helped alot with that as well as moved it to ssd so there's less smeary/low-res textures before the detailed ones pop-in

When did they express interest? and did they give us any more informations?

iirc it was in the 4th anniversary stream when they revealed the graphical update. they said they wanted to better the in-game options menu, including disabling anti-aliasing in-game.

Im curious now.. They havent announced a specific date or did they?

To turn off this AA (African American) just be straight. 😇

Nope but they said they'd wanna slowly roll it out bit by bit.

they make it sound that implementing ingame settings is very complex.. I thought its just adding a GUI to the already existing ini settings. Well, I hope its going to happen before 2021.

I hope so too

I'm also waiting for some ingame settings concerning graphics to be implemented 'cause I hate AA in any game. Sharpness is the best 😁I use Nvidia filter as well, helps a bit. I mean it is much better now than it was then they forced AA and Vsync a few month ago. My eyes still hurt.

make sure in your propperties it is as "read only" then you aply it, but do this after typing it in your Engine.ini like that, with a white line separated of the rest of the text.
Remember:
(huge text)
(space line)
[/Script/Engine.GarbageCollectionSettings]
r.DefaultFeature.AntiAliasing=0
(space line)
if you still can't watch a tutorial
