Hatch mechanic.

so that is an idea i had for a long time. im sharing it with you even tho i know to 100% something like that would be never a thing.

ok now imagine, you are infront of the hatch.. but instead of jumping in it you climb down.

Downstairs you are in something like a tunnel (obviously the killer can also climb down the ladder.

the tunnel is 50m long (just imagine it) very dark with some candles in it or something just to have the ambience with skulls and skelettons etc

so the survivor needs to run the tunnel 50 meters. when the survivor reaches the end of the tunnler (escape) he needs to solve Quiz (something like a quick time event pressing the right buttons you get on the screen with a 10seconds timer, everytime you miss a button the timer resets ( you have just 3 attempts) when the survivor lose all the attempts it will be closed for ever.

the killer cant use his power downstairs just to balance it out and the survivor has actually a chance. and to make it more tense you put every 15 meters a door (the survivor can close it but will also waste time doing so. (Breakable walls for the killer)

Yeah thats it, that was my idea. im sure it will never be a thing but i thought i share my creativity.

Me, the survivor, being forced to do algebra word problems after running a small marathon while the killer looks over my shoulder, breathing heavily, to see if I'm showing all my work

Ok bare with me, the hatch is for clutch get aways. If you're in dying state what can the hatch offer you? Your idea sounds good for a solo horror game but not a 4v1

What does clutch mean? Obviously its used in driving but I've definitely not seen a clutch attached to the hatch.

    Fun idea, not gonna happen

Sounds fun, you trying to escape your hardest while the anxiety of the killer getting ever closer screws you up until you either escape or die.

Tbf does the hatch give you currently anything in the dying state? Not really.

The current hatch mechanic is just cheap. Press either space to close it or m1. No effort, boring. But hey.. i said already i didnt expect to be happen. I just wanted to share it thats all.

Well thats why i said breakable walls lol
