How I feel about the Pinebrook Chapter project
Hey guys I just wanted to update on the Pinebrook chapter ( a fan made chapter that I made.) I am currently writing up the survivors lore and was taking a break from the project. To be honest I didn't get as much of a response as I would've liked though, but not everyone is interested in originals and more so in liscensed fan made chapters from what I've seen. I just feel bad that I put so much time and effort into a single chapter and I hate to admit it, but I feel a bit jealous when I see someone else's chapter get a lot more views when they didn't put as much as I did. Its like I turn in a paper with a whole lot of work and took time on it and not get as good of a grade, where as Jimmy over here turns in a paper with minimal work and effort but some how manages to exceed me. Like ######### how does that work, I don't want to sound like a brat or a jerk or anything like that, I just want to express how I feel about this chapters popularity, and the views. Again I've posted something like this in the past, but this time it actually hurts I'll go a different route when creating future fan made chapters, where I will have polls and I'll let you guys decide what you would like to see. Thank you guys for your support and I wish I could do more for you guys but its just tiresome, for me. Check out the Pinebrook chapter when you guys are able and check out some of my other past works as well. Again thank you all for pushing me to finish this project and will see you in the fog.

It does sound bratty, people post chapter ideas on here all the time. You, and no one, but that person knows the time and effore they put into the fan-made chapters. Yours will be ready when it's ready; people will either like it or not, be interested in clicking on it or not.
You should be uploading these chapters because of your love for the game and the love to create; don't get caught up in seeking praise and an audience. It'll just push you in a negative direction.

I tried not to sound 'bratty', but when creating this post I knew it was, sorry about that. I just want to feel good about myself, and be able to say that someone like me can become something that of a fog whisperer for example, although maybe not something like that but at least a good content creator. I just want to do something I enjoy and I just feel like that all my hard work was at times for nothing. I mostly just want feedback from people and I want to know what they thought about the chapter, and would they like to see something like this in-game. Again sorry about this post.

Hard work is never for nothing. Even if people don't directly comment or reach out to let you know their opinion/criticism/praise of your work, people still see it. The Devs always see posts on here. Your chapter ideas never go unseen and unappreciated, even if it doesn't meet your expectations on the surface.
Someone like you? Look, I have no frame of reference to know what that means, but everyone can be anything they want to be. Put all your passion and energy into your work, enjoy it when you create and people will enjoy your work too. As long as you are happy with your own creation, nothing else matters. The only person you need to impress is yourself; others only see the surface of your work. The depth of a bio barely scratches the surface of the creative direction and deeper story behind that. Most of my bios are short stories before I shrink them down to fit the ideal length you'd expect to from a bio (revealing but teasing in the amount of details left untold). The power speaks for itself, unfortunately cannot be playtested, so it is all in the readers imagination on how that would be like in game. Same for perks too.
Keep working on it, get it finished and to your personal standards, then sit back and be proud that you created something you love for a game you love. The community in this section love fan-made ideas; the Devs love these ideas too.

Anytime, we all have those moments. Key thing is that you don't lose sight of the reason you do something. And to not believe the negative voices in our heads. Hope you're doing good now :)

I'm feeling a little bit better.

Glad to hear it :) just remember that feelings of personal negativity are usually deceitful thoughts, not based on reality, and can't be trusted as the truth of a situation.
