Why no one talks about how the Hag is absolutely broken and unfun to play against in higher ranks ?
The title.
The Hag is probably one of the, if not the most unfun killer to go against. A combination of her certain addons is a deadly force not to be reckoned with, especially the one which turns off the phantasm's appearance. If she hooked a survivor in the basement, you can be absolutely certain she will down at least 2 more survivors who will try to go for the save which results in no gens being done. Even her small height givers her an edge at loops which usually are considered safe against any other killer. Also a fun fact, she is one of the two killers (Wraith as well) which have their inbuilt killer mechanics directly countered by an item (flashlight). If you do not have a flashlight you will be forced to crouch like 40% of the game which furthermore stalls the game. The people who will not respect the Hag (don't worry, there will always be a few in your game) will jeopardize everyone's safety and accelerate the snowball effect even faster.
Am I the only one here who thinks this ? Surely some people who have gone against a GOOD Hag rolled over their eyes and wished this game would be over asap. Just because she's not popular doesn't mean devs should leave her at the state she's in.

Hey, I agreed with you.
She gets one hook and bam, she lies down all her traps and proceeds to proxy camp.

I don’t think Hag is broken or unfun to go against, but then again I play a lot of Hag myself so I know how to counter her usually and enjoy trying.
You need to try and actively dismantle her traps, like you would with Trapper. If you see a trap (they’re visible most places, not in grass though) you can walk towards it and set it off right at the edge of the trap’s area of effect. Then run backwards away from it and even if the Hag teleports quickly she won’t be able to hit you. Or if you trip a trap and run behind a wall, the Hag will teleport and if they swing they’ll just smack the wall (they teleport facing you).
If she’s ever otherwise occupied (carrying a downed survivor, or on the other side of the map) you should run around loops and pathways tripping any trap you can find. Or if the Hag is the kind to get tunnel vision, do it while she’s committed to a chase.
The biggest problem with facing Hag is that most survivors never play her or face her so they don’t really know how to deal with her. She’s especially strong against solo teams since even one weak team member will probably kill everyone by setting off traps at the worst times.
But she’s a slow killer and she relies entirely on set up. If you waste enough of her time dismantling her trap web, you should buy your teammates enough time to do all the gens.

Well, I hate playing against hag sinc3 she was released... The biggest issue I have with her is you need a flashlight to counter or basically do anything worthwile, unl3ss your other 3 survivors aren't sack of red potatoes, you will get wrecked in the net of 10 traps.
She needs to have a way to defuse her traps without a flashlight, the trapped hook is similar to what release trapper could do, placing a trap in front of a hook so YOU HAD to disarm it before unhooking, with a proxy campers being even worse than today (yes, there were few strats to use, such as unhooker disarming it ASAP after being unhooked, as it didn't catch you mid unhookkng animation, fun old times).
I would prefer a rework of her power.

Because barely anyone plays her. Less playtime = getting talked about less

It's all good, the thing I don't like about her as well is that...
When you carefully unhook someone, she makes her way over and you're forced to start running, guaranteeing her traps to be set off and getting either a slug or a health state from you.

Why do I feel like I have to say this a lot:
Just because you don't like a killer DOESN'T MEAN THEY NEED A NERF!
Also just from reading this it really doesn't sound like you know how to play against a hag at all if your crouching for over half the game.
As for her size it just requires you to try to mind game a melee 110% movement speed killer which really isn't that hard in fact most of the time the hag flat out has to lay down a trap to stop most loops at which point you can run away.
If your too worried about all of her traps in an area if you know she is very far away(Try kindred to see if any other survivors are being chased) so you can disarm her traps.
Also nearly all killers have strong add on comboes which are usually better then the hag's addons(Annoying maybe overpowered no).

- proxy camping can be done by nearly every single high mobility/ranged killer in the game.
- You can set off traps to disarm them and you really do not need a flashlight to deal with them as if she is far away in a chase with someone else set them all off and she is set back to the stone ages.
- I have done multiple recues against a hag and kindred is your best friend in those cases(Which you should always have as a solo anyways) because it lets you see where she puts the traps and to let you see if she's chasing anyone else.

Sry, but this lissen like "Mimimi, i can't play against this killer! DEVS you have to nerf this killer..."
Use other tactics i think is a good Idea?

I’m yet to go against a Hag that doesn’t set a thousand traps at a hook and instantly fly back to down the unhooked player. She’s one killer I play super try-hard against as I know that my first hook will probably be my last. 😓 😂
I know you can destroy them with a flashlight or crouch-walk, but 1) I never bring flashlights into a match and you’re not guaranteed to find one in a chest either and 2) crouch-walking does jack when she comes waddling straight back towards you.

I think the devs when they were doing the witch's power, was aware that it was op, then they thought that the flashlight would be a easy idea to counter it. The truth is that its power does not bother me at all.

Trust me when I saw a max movement speed add-on spirit i have tried to play against hit a survivor on the other side of the map(Disturbed Ward) mid unhook animation and she got to the otherside of the map to hit me with in the 10 second window you'd need for the safe unhook.
I am not calling for spirit nerfs but proxy camps are strong with any killer even to a larger extend then the hag can if the killer has the right build.
Bad teammates will get you killed no matter what on hook.
Try having 2 teammates rushing to unhook me when a blood fury oni is running straight at them in the wide open.
Bad teammates will be your doom regardless of the killer so why treat hag differently when she exploits bad teammates FAR less then Michael,Oni, or Plague?

Let me guess another "no counterplay" killer 😂

People don't complain about her much because it's rare that you come across a Hag. However, this is without a doubt going to change when the next Archive rolls around as the Hag is one of the characters it will be focused on.

Hag is fine as is. She's slow, has to use traps to catch survivors a majority of the time, you can flashlight the traps or just crouch. If you have such an issue with a camping hag then crouch unhook then run up the stairs so she hits you instead of the other survivor. She has to wait for the hit animation to even port again. I've never struggled against a Hag. There's a reason she's so rare. Spirit is broken as hell, Hag is weak but alright if you know where to place traps. She has multiple counters to her power.

I mean,a basement trapper can do the same as a basement hag.Should we nerf trapper because of that?

One thing I don't get is people complain about Bubba camping but Hag is pretty much a killer designed to hook camp. Maybe that wasn't the intention but that's how most people play her.

Sure,it's really hard to escape a good hag but that's the case with any good player.
And bad teammate can always end the game, doesn't matter which killer you are going against.

Only thing I'd change about Hag is remove trapping around hook/in basement. That's the only thing that frustrating/unfun about her, otherwise she's fine.

Thanks for the tip on how to go against hag. I didn't know how to deal with her because i don't see a lot of people play her
1 -
bring a flashlight, then she turns into the weakest killer in the game
2 -
She has a low pickrate for a reason. To play her correctly you need a lot of strategical knowledge and skill. So yeah let's nurse her like Billy.

This thread contains people with IRL life attackls regarding someones real life, due to playing Hag Basement Build.
I dont think posts like that have a place in the forum. Forgive me for having class and expecting more from humans.

You could say the same about hag though.Even though there might be 10 traps in the basement you CAN attempt the save.Whether thats a good or bad idea is up to you.
And a basement trapper is impossible to escape from as well without really good teamwork

The basement is a dangerous place. I don't see how a hag camping it with traps is any worse than any other number of basement builds.
Any high mobility killer can use make your choice and essentially make escaping from it impossible for at least 1 person. Spirit/Nurse/Wraith all come to mind.
Trapper traps every entrance.
Huntress can stand at the top and throw hatchets down.
Billy/leatherface/myers all 1 shot you as you come out.
Pyramid head can make getting out impossible without stepping into torment, then send you to a cage; ignoring your DS.
