PineBrook chapter Survivors lore (James Linderton, Camilla Cooper)
Intro: This will be where I explain the lore for survivors, again I am not as proud as this chapter compared to Smiles and Tears but I am happy with what I did and I hope that everyone else out there is doing well. Anyway I am kinda happy to wrap this up and I'll go in depth on the chapter and what the inspiration was, without further ado lets begin.
Lore:
James Linderton: Born with his mothers kind heart, and his fathers sense of work, James Linderton was always a brave, and caring soul, but he was at times stubborn about his beliefs and loyalties. He had a great life which was uncommon for some. With a family who was always hard at work, and a Eagle scout for a son, and planning to go to a great university, there was little that could beat James down. However because of how he was, he usually was the laughing stock in some groups, wishing he could be like the others, just as cool, and just a person who was able to be a part of something. But the pain of his bullying caused him grief, sorrow, and was an outcast. But he had his brother who was a firefighter for the town of Pinebrook and was a hero to many, he inspired James to be brave and stand up to others and show them. But one fateful night changed that, James heard that a huge fire broke out a local diner, and that some of the firemen died, one of which was his brother. IF that was not bad enough the police discovered wounds caused by an axe of some kind which is what killed those brave men, not the fire, it was ruled out as murder people demanded the case to continue but was filed out as cold case due to little evidence. Enraged that his brother was murdered and the police weren't going to capture the one responsible for his brothers death James went to uncover the truth by himself, spending hours, days, and nights to uncover any evidence of the murderer. Just when his luck was about to run out he uncovered cases similar to this from the past and drew the lines to a certain shack within a local wildlife preserve. After heading out to the said location within the woods, he noticed signs of humans but something was off, the signs left were way to big to be human, even animal like. After treading through the forest, and finding the shack, and just as he opened the door, the air suddenly grew hot, even unbreathable. Suddenly James was face to face with his brothers murderer but the figure wasn't exactly human, its appearance shook James to his soul. He turned tail but the thing chased him on eventually it caught up to him almost killing James, but he was saved from another creature unlike the one before and appeared familiar. It was a friend known as Melinda Cooper, she was and is a creature that was not entirely human. After being patched up and learning the truth about his friends, James begged Melinda to help him catch that mad man, though hesitant she agreed to help. After a long while of hunting and uncovering the truth of this 'Fireman' they finally were able to understand the horrors and evil within Pinebrook, the group that Melinda lead with the experience of James they banded to fight off this evil. However a strange fog claimed them only James and Melinda were taken to a realm forced to survive against the evils within
Camilla Cooper: Camilla Cooper was born a leader that for some was a pain, but always understanding of others when hurt, she has watched under the care of others like her, transformed as a beast that turns during the full moon, but able to retain her humanity. She kept watchful eye upon those like her, and was strict and controlled their actions to ensure the secret was kept. She planned a life going into college, with a loving boyfriend who understood, and respected her leadership she has never been more proud about herself ever. But when she woke up one mourning she was greeted by the local news claiming a form of murder and arsonist was committed at a local diner. When she heard of those who died and when she tried to comfort James about his brothers death a form of hatred grew within her for the injustice of it. She too wanted to know the truth, but her pressence was required for a meeting in the preserve. On the night of the meeting the fire was all that was talked about and the anger that the group was represented, she spoke out and deemed to find the cause fearing that it was not something that would just happen, suddenly a presence filled the air, they were not alone. A scent that sweaty, and human, it was James drawing closer , but another scent was in the air, it was hot, and smelled like burned rubber, and was closing in around James. Melinda went through the forest to investigate only to hear screaming and cries for help as she watched as James bolted away from this creature that would haunt her the rest of her life. But he was caught and was going to be killed, fearing for her friend's life she jumped and attacked but the creature fought back with such strength that equaled her own she eventually drove it off. Finally her intentions were brought on James who was barely able to move, let alone see. Melinda took him back to camp and had the group heal him eventually he regained conciseness and jumped out of fear for those around him, but eventually he was calmed down by a familiar face and everything was explained to the confused teen. He proposed an accordance, both of them were eager to catch the killer but to do so was to uncover the truth of the town and banded together to save it. The accordance was made and together they finally came to face the monster that nearly took both their lives. But a strange fog consumed them and they were dragged into a realm not similar to Pinebrook, Camilla felt drained of her powers, and helpless but she wasn't going to cower ever again, not this time or ever.
Conclusion: I have to admit these aren't my personal best but If I explained the lore more in depth it would spoil the series, and I want you guys to enjoy it. Any way I am sorry for not posting anything else about Pinebrook, tbh I just needed some time away from the project. And now I'll start doing polls in where you guys will decide which Killer you want. However if you did enjoy give it a thumbs up and leave a comment, and if you want to check out more of my works please do so. Again thank you so much to all and I'll see you in the fog.
