Noed Usage 👆

Has anybody else notice a large increase of Noed usage lately?

I'm not complaining about the perk but holy crap it feels like every round I've played had Noed used in it.

    I'd really recommend Detective's Hunch - NOED will be a non-issue :)

It's because the use of Unbreakable and Decisive Strike by Survivors.

As a killer main I do find the use of noed pretty laughable. In a endgame build I think it's great but I only ever see it used as a crutch, but on the flip side survivors are guilty of using BS perks far more often than killers so I think it's fine, I just bring a map.

I never liked noed due to the fact that when you play as a killer, it's like playing with 3 perks and depending on it until the end of the game seems a bad strategy to me.

I'm guessing it is more of a response to adrenaline than DS and UB.

When a lot of matches don’t make it to endgame, NOED isn’t very useful. It’s planning for failure. The other thing is if the killer had a fourth perk they could use throughout the match, they may have performed better.

I have to admit though, if so many of my killer compatriots didn’t bring it, the threat of NOED wouldn’t exist and survivors wouldn’t do bones. Which may be helping my matches.

Its the curse of the endgame. Whenever I make an endgame build I never get there and have three perks for the whole game, or its me and 1 to 2 others and noed never really comes into play because its cleansed or they hatch out after the down. A whole perk slot for one down in the egc, yeah nah.

It has its uses but as my games improved I use it less.

A lot of killers are having issues with the gen rush / not enough "pressure", so most games go to late game. As long as gen rush is a thing, noed will be gaining popularity.

Talked about this a few times by now but NOED, as an Hex totem, can be deactivated if the survivors search/remove null totems of the game. A map or even knowing the most frequent paths to spawn help a lot.

I love to bring a pink map (+range, +duration addons) for those 1-2 pesky totems that decide to don't appear in the match when you search them!

Well. I was just naming but a few. It's a combination of those 2nd chance perks. But yeah. They give good reason to use NOED.

Yes and no, against a lot of teams three perks is plenty... so having NOED for when you run into the occasional “better team,” isn’t going to hurt you that much. Yes you could have had Brutal strength to break pallets or Pop to regress a couple gens but NOED as insurance is a good fallback

Makes me wish there was a system of difficulty. 1v2 Novice, 1v3 intermediate, 1v3 hard, 1v4 Master. Each with multiple levels of Generator spawns. 5 gens = 2 survivors, 6 gens = 3 survivors, so on and etc. I dunno about anybody else but there's just not enough generators a alotta the times 🤷‍♂️

Considering with the lack of an early game for killers and gen speed being as fast as it is, I don't particular fault killers for running NOED. Most of the time NOED ends securing 1 kill in my experience which is more of a pity kill.
