What kind of playstyle do you enjoy?

Do you like taking your time setting up traps in the map? Do you like rushing down your enemies? Do you like using projectiles?

Some beginner-friendly killers I can recommend are Doctor who can help you find survivors easier with the use of his power, Wraith who doesn’t have a lot to his power and can hide his terror radius (heartbeat) by cloaking, Nightmare has a lot to his kit which is very easy to use, etc.

Wraith, Bubba and ghostface are amazing to start out with, as they are quite simple to play. Make sure you unlock BBQ and chili as a teachable as well. When you get a good grasp of the game, try out killers like Oni, Billy, hag, plague and more. It's all down to personal preference though.

Start with Leatherface, then Clown, then trapper. If you don’t like those killers, at least their perks are very good on almost all killers.

    Way to end chases easily?

Freddy, Pyramid head, Nurse, Spirit, Clown all excell at ending chases.

Should I at least try nurse or is she too hard

If youre new then I recommend learning tge ropes with either trapper or wraith. Both of their powers are very simple and will let you learn the basics of chasing and landing hits. I also recommend as soon as youre comfortable, switch to bubba. You simply have to unlock bbq. Have to.

Nurse plays way differently than every other killer. The skills you learn with her wont transfer to other killers. Hold off till youre good with basic killers

She is very hard to master, if you really are new I wouldn't use her at all until you get the hang of the game first.

But if you have all DLC or a few killers, I suggest learning wraith since he will teach you the fundamentals of playing killer, if you have leatherface level him up so you can get BBQ and chilli.

If you don't care about my opinion on nurse, I will let you know right now, you will most likely lose every match unless you are playing against potatoes, she is the hardest to learn but she is the strongest killer in the game.

Killers that are good at ending chases quick:

    • Hillbilly (one shot potential with his chainsaw, need to learn how to steer with his chainsaw and get good angles, although he suffers a bit from looping)
    • Nurse (VERY hard killer to learn and master, but she undoubtedly has the best chasing potential if you do put in the time to learn her)
    • Doctor (learning how and when to use your Shock Therapy to make survivors scream and stop them from dropping pallets could let you see results fast. Also beginner-friendly like I said in the previous post)
    • Huntress (can end chases very quickly with the use of her hatchets but need to know how to aim and when to throw hatchets. The combo to learn with her is to throw a hatchet near a killer to injure them, then quickly close in with a basic attack to down them
    • Cannibal (similarly to Hillbilly, can one shot survivors with the chainsaw, but needs to get really close to them to pull it off. Can also down multiple survivors with one chainsaw sweep. Also he is receiving a rework soon and they’re actually making him stronger so he should be a better killer to use than he currently is)
    • Freddy (if the survivors are asleep, you can use traps to slow them down during chases and loops to catch up to them quicker)
    • Clown (very strong during chases with his slowdown bottles, but has trouble in almost every other aspect of the match. Still a very fun Killer to play)
    • Spirit (great at closing distances between you and the survivor with her power, but you need a good pair of headphones and a keen sense of awareness where the survivor might go because using her power makes you go fast but survivors become invisible)
    • Ghostface (potentially strong chases if you can expose survivors by stalking them. He’s in essence a regular M1 killer but his power allows you to down unsuspecting survivors if they don’t notice you)
    • Deathslinger (strong projectile than can end chases quick but requires good aim and the ability to predict survivor movements)
    • Executioner (ranged attack allows you to hit survivors from a distance and even through walls but requires mindgaming and leading your shots)

    I would stay away from:

    • Trapper (can be good and can even get you downs quickly, but heavily requires setting up traps in strategic spots to get full value)
    • Wraith (chases are a bit slow for the bell boy but he has the ability to hide his terror radius)
    • Shape (Myers requires a lot of stalking and letting survivors go to get full value, but when you do power him up all the way he can be a force to be reckoned with, just takes time)
    • Legion (great at dealing damage and getting multiple survivors injured, pretty bad when it comes to downing them)
    • Plague (requires you to make survivors sick and have them drink from a fountain in order to gain your power. Most survivors don’t cleanse which is a problem of itself, but if you do get those survivors that cleanse you get possibly the strongest power in the game that could end chases quick. It’s just too much of a gamble but she can be fun)

All the other ones that weren’t mentioned can work as well but the best are possibly the ones I mentioned above.

i would say doctor! i´m a doctor main, and i find him good to start because there´s not much skill to just picking him and using him. He´s easy to play as, but pretty hard to go against! there´s also pretty interesting builds for him (impossible skillchecks doc and sniper doc, for instance). he´s the whole package, kinda like freddy: his power helps on chases, help slow down the game and really help detecting survivors.
