Kill Switch update: We have temporarily Kill Switched the Forgotten Ruins Map due to an issue that causes players to become stuck in place. The Map will remain out of rotation until this is resolved.

Buff annoying killers

Hear me out here ok, so "annoying" killers are now a trend for some reason and I thought id put my input in as it is a controversial one.

One thing I noticed when people talk about annoying killers usually comes from the playstyle, EG: a deathslinger that keeps baiting. So what if we buffed areas that promoted a different style of play so more people played in the "fun" way and got rewarded for it? (For reference the only killers I find annoying are Forever Freddy and DD doc).

For example, take Freddy, he is currently very good at tunneling someone down and it's almost required on him especially with no add ons. What if instead of nerfing him we did this:

  • Reduced TP cooldown
  • Reduced lullaby radius by 8m (to 24m).

This, instead of promoting a tunneling playstyle, now promotes a more hit an run playstyle due to him being able to get up on people easier. This also doesn't buff the tunneling playstyle by a large amount, so it will be the same viability level.

From that, hit and run playstyle got a big boost and the tunneling playstyle only got buffed a tiny bit.

Same can be done for lets say deathslinger, by reducing the missed shot cooldown, he is more prone to taking risky shots. A slinger who plays safe and baits will not have much of a change, but people who play "fun" are now much less punished.

Just wanted to hear others opinions on this as I would think this would be a good thing to do instead of directly nerfing killers, and - as weve seen, nerfes end up kinda killing the fun in some killers.

DISCLAIMER: I'm not asking for only buffs here, i'm fine with some nerfs as long as they are balanced out.
