Well if you can hear it around the map, they've got Bone Clapper on.
And combining Bone Clapper with ringing lots and lots usually means they're your bro.
It could also be a trap so you come out of hiding, because you might think they're a bro.
To me, it means free time on the Generator.

There are a handful of situations where Wraith can do this with no negative consequence. If he's chasing someone with no available pallets, for example, there's no negative to the bell spam if he cancels it early enough and can readily swing right out of a bing bong.
As a Wraith main, when I do it that's 90% the reason. I'm confident I can't be punished for it AND I know that you know where I am anyway. i.e. in a very obvious chase.

Yeah sometimes it's sneaky bait too. But like, everytime I want to farm, I get survivors who apparently (even though they're rank 7???) don't know this?

I have seen Wraith's do that, but if they're just standing there clanging the bell after they find you on a gen, and not chasing anyone yet, what would you think? Like to me that indicates they want to farm. Or it could be fake farming as bait. Had that happen once or twice.

I remember people used to do that to signal that they wanted to farm although I haven't come across that in a long time.

The more I think about it the more I use it as an alternative to teabagging that survivors do. Ghost Face can squat, but is the only one who can. I'm thinking that specifically because I do remember times I've bodyblocked survivors in corners on generators and just spammed the bell 3 or 4 times. I do know as well I get more "vocal" when I start heccing with survivors that have given me serious trouble during the match 🙃

I like farming, I find it fun. Both as Surv and killer.

I've done it a few times if there's one survivor left. I'm trying to get their attention if I've found the hatch and am intending on letting them go, or if we're near the gates and I can see them I'm letting them know they can open the gates and get out.
If I intend on having the survivor dead, I don't play those games. Close hatch, locate survivor, kill and move to the next match.

I'm just a might ticked off because I don't understand how someone can get to Rank 7 and not know what farming is. Like even if you don't want to farm you must know what it is by that point? Like how, how? Though tbf she was playing SWF, so the Rank may be a might boosted (she didn't even know what killer shack was called, oof).

Ok, but if you're not playing for BP, and they don't want to farm, why would they just sit on gens? You'd think they'd at least try to get in chases, something to get the blood pumping?
