Chance of Xenomorph?
For those of you who don’t know, the Xenomorph is an iconic character in sci-fi horror from the Alien Franchise. Lately the Xenomorph has not been getting attention lately, instead we have the game “Predator Hunting Grounds” which is obviously focused on The Predator.
There has only been a handful of games that you are able to play as the Xenomorph. These games include Alien vs Predator 1 and 2, Alien vs Predator (2010), Mortal Kombat X and mobile games. With DBD having Demo and improving in cosmetics and graphics what is the possibility of seeing the Xenomorph in the game? Devs feel free to answer as well if you would like XD

It's pretty likely, its one of the few big licenses and doesn't have much animosity towards it. I personally would love a Xeno. So much unique stuff they could do with one.

It would be difficult to make the Xenomorph fit the DBD universe because you're making something that's extremely fast and lethal... Loopable. 😅

problem is the Xenomorph is a beast, the Demogorgon was the only other beast added and the reason for that is the sweet stranger things money and the fact it was a more intelligent hunter that had unique ways to interact with the world beyond what an animal would be able to.
Xenomorph can be a scary SoB but only in tight controlled areas with small spaces for it to roam around undetected, in the open they just launch themselves at you and the only time they take live prey at all is to bring it to the queens egg hive for reproduction, they hunt to survive.
the predator on the other hand is a stalker, a hunter, a killer.
but goodluck getting a predator to be the big deadly juggernaut it was ment to be in DbD, their shoulder cannon could tear appart walls and people effortlessly, good luck introducing their toolkit and balancing it at the same time.
dont get me wrong both would be fun but i could never see it happening.
besides would you really want to disrespect the Xenomorph or the Predator by having them be looped during chases? thats a sight i wouldnt want to see.

The Alien is an ambush predator, just like the Demogorgon. It's really not that far-fetched of an IP to bring into DbD.

Ah, but that’s the beauty of the Xenomorph. It’s fast, stealthy and can climb on any surface. The climbing would probably be difficult to program. As far as fitting it into the universe, Demo is an unstoppable force and only Eleven killed it with her powers. I don’t think fitting a Xeno in the DBD universe would be difficult. The mechanics of it would be a challenge.

but again the Xenomorph relies on mortal methods of ambush, the same sort of ambush tactics as ghostface or piggy.
Demo can alter the world around it, travel through another dimension to move around the material plain and overall doesn't exist in the same sort of realm of ambush the Xenomorph would rely on.
sure both may jump and leap when in the open but doesn't every killer just rush at you in the open? the predator doesn't, it toys with you and shoots at you when its bored but with a particle cannon like theirs you wouldn't be alive for a single hit from that, how would the survivors survive that?
the whole idea of looping the Predator or Xenomorph is disgusting, both are fast moving stealth bas****s and seeing a survivor successful loop either would just be a horrible sight.

Those are fair points. The Xenomorphs are also intelligent hunters I would argue just as good if not better than Demo. As you said Xeno’s thrive on tight corridors, however depending on the circumstances like buildings, trees ect.. they can use the environment to their advantage.
Regarding your point on the Xenomorph being disrespected AVP(2010) already did so for both Predators and Marines being able to kill them easily in multiplayer. The Marines in that game can punch one to death pretty easily, while Predators have all kinds of tools.

It is true that Demo can open portals into our dimension. I’m just saying the Xenomorph would not have a problem fitting in the DBD universe. Also I’m not suggesting Predator being in the game since it already has its own thing going on right now. I’m only suggesting the Xenomorph being added

in the defense of AVP2010, the Xenomorphs were stronger as groups rather than individually unless it was something like a pred-alien to a less lore friendly extend the AvP Extinctions Ravager which thrived on direct brutal combat, both being not only quick but incredibly destructive in their warpaths.
killing one basic alien drone wasn't an issue, hell you could consider it pretty easy hence the punching one response. but they never come alone oh hell no they dont and worse is even if you did win a fist fight with one, they leaked acid all over the place, including into your hands as you beat them.
im not against the idea of a playable xeno or predator, hell i think both are badass, but in DbD's current game structure they would feel so slow and well... weak to put it lightly, here we have these behemoths who hunt eachother all over the universe for SPORT and usually ending planets when they are done with them especially if they lose suddenly struggling against 4 regular people who are more concerned with fixing some basic human engineering, dont carry weapons so wouldn't even be hunted by the predators because they would be classed as "harmless" and ultimately disrespect the hunting prowess of both predator and xeno by being able to loop them around some boxes or a wooden wall.
again im all for the idea if they can truely capture the badass feeling of them but i wouldn't hold my breath of that working out for DbD.

on the survey when they asked what you would like to see i said xenomorph as the killer and ripley as the survivor

When I envision the Xenomorph in DBD I mean the one from the First Alien movie. It took out an entire crew by itself, through stealth, speed and it’s ability to climb.

The Predator killing a Xenomorph easily is canon to AvP though. The original books had them as basically the Predator equivalent of deer, and provided the Pred had at least his wrist blade, they were little threat. The Marines being able to punch them to death was pretty dumb, but it required a bit of skill, not CoD press melee to kill.
But the biggest issue is that the Mouse owns the Alien franchise, which means negotiations might be difficult.

I completely forgot that Disney owns the Alien Franchise. It’s probably going to rust out in that giant vault of theirs, unless a new proposition comes out.

oh i forgot the big cheese bringer owns AVP now, might actually push forward that idea of a second AvP Extinction game but this time bring the damn thing to PC where an RTS would actually work better

I just had an idea on how we can make the Xenomorph fast and deadly without breaking the balance of the game! 😅
Xenomorph would be able to preconstruct a path (during preconstruction, survivors cannot be seen), then after you finish, the Xenomorph takes the exact route starting at 115% and ending at 230% at the end of the mapped route you made (of course the Xenomorph wouldn't keep the 230% movement speed bonus and would go back to 115%). If the Xenomorph collides with a survivor, they are automatically put into the dying state.

So...i personally think since Predator Hunting Grounds exists Alien wont come to DBD. It would be awesome! But i feel like it would be a DLC for Hunting Grounds because of movie rights and legal and smart people things

Honestly, it would be bad. How do you work in all of its crazy things? Acid blood, tongue mouth, crawling, leaping, and stealth? A stealth killer that can crawl on walls and leap over loops is just asking to either be completely awful to play as or be completely unfun to play against.
And if they don't do it justice, everyone would be angry.

Xenomorph could me made almost blind/unable to see survivors but extremely fast and lethal. So there would be almost no way to run from him and the only counterplay would be to stay hidden from him by preventing some trigger from activating that would reveal you.

There are different forms of xenomorph depending on what its host was and not to mention different roles. So yeah there are xenomorph that will come at you for no reason and who dont climb and the owners of the rights to alien can easily create one that works in the dbd universe
