Is Vile Purge Plague Really That Bad?
Idk, just been playing Plague today, cause why not, and it was going alright without Corrupt Purge (CP).
Not denying CP is better, but i just never feel like going out of my way to pick up a CP charge.
It's also kinda too bad you can't infect stuff anymore with CP.
I mean sure, that'd make CP OP if you could still use the VP benefits, but i still miss them.
I like having my Generators infected, y'know?
Oh, also: This was a really cheap move of mine, but that's only cause i didn't think it would work..
I trapped a Survivor between myself and objects, they wanted to stay so they could finish cleansing a Dull Totem.
I just Vile Purge'd them until they were Broken, then downed them.
Cheap & easy, but idk, didn't they also just allow for that to happen?
Final note: I'm having a Plague day.
Gotta step out of my Wraith-comfort zone every now and then.

Infecting generators is a lot of fun as I feel like it serves as a sort of knowledge, you can use it to track roughly where survivors could be
Infecting pallets mid-chase is also neat as it pushes the survivor into a lose-lose situation: take the hit or become infected
I only use CP when most of the survivors are heavily infected, as not being able to infect items is boring...

Yes. Vile Purge only is extremely bad. She is one of the, if not the absolute, worst M1 killers in the game. She's tall, ultra visible, and loud. All survivors need to do is play safe and you're done for. She used to be my main, I dealt with it all the time. You can't kill what throws every single pallet early while their panicking teammates rush the generators as fast as they can manage.
Still, it's better to lose to safe players than watch your corrupt purge magically phase though a survivor or 4. At least safe players actually outplayed you in some sense.

Imo I like the vile purge. I'm probably the only one who does. But I find it more fun when I just chase down survs, corner them and unleash vomit. Or basically back vomiting on them and then one shot. But yeah I'll use the corrupt purge if at least two are broken. And the fountains close, otherwise I'm just going to leave it.

She's really not viable in a more competitive setting against solid players. In a more casual game against less skilled survivors, yes, she's super threatening.
The issue is that there's little to no difference between being injured and healthy when the killer has absolutely no chase ability. Pallet count will always outpace generator times against an efficient team. What good players will do is deal with the infection for 2 or 3 gens and play super safe at loops, then cleanse at once to soft reset the game and slam the remaining gens. Corrupt Purge isn't a huge threat depending on the map and tile set due to the speed curve on wind up.

If you play here without CP you'll be a budget legion, you can injure everyone but you can't shut down chases because you're an m1 killer.
Honestly Pick both apple addons you start with 3 corrupt purge pools, and get straight into assault. This way you don't get genrushed.

It's amazing, plague is underrated. You get free surveillance, and infinite tier 3 myers. If they cleanse, you get corrupt purge, and everyone knows how good that ######### is.

I honestly never really pick up cp. I'm a green rank killer that doesn't really get matched with red ranks. I'm a red rank survivor and my friends are lower and they always try to cleanse. Luckily they cleanse so much that I get free cp just by making them use all of the pools because apparently that was a mechanic I wasn't aware of for a while.

I find vile purge to be a lot more fun honestly but corrupt purge is just so much better. You can just spray that ######### everywhere so easily, get multiple injuries, then down easily too because it's not nearly the amount of time it takes after a hit. If they're genrushing with 3 or 4 you injure so many if you're good enough and down one or two
That being said you can make a build around vile. Something like sloppy + thana + stridor would be really good and then maybe surveillance or discordance for gens. You don't need ruin or pop with a build like this because you can stop the gen progress from knowing where they are and the healing takes ages. Plus thana slows down gens slightly too

Oh i don't enjoy Legion very much, but i had fun with Plague that day. 😊
