New auras are mostly better
I have found that I can actually see players doing generators now with BBQ and Chilli. Before it was nearly impossible but now I can see them at least 70% of the time. The new auras also look far more aesthetically pleasing. They show more detail and that seems to fit the horror aspect of this game more. The only downside of the new auras is that survivors stand out less but that hasn't stopped me from seeing them.

Agreed, they look much more aesthetically pleasing, and fits with the theme of the game.
They just need to increase the intensity of the auras, and give them some sort of outline to make them pop out from the environment.

I'm starting to feel like a broken record here, but for those of us who are colorblind, the game is quite literally unplayable on some maps, and is objectively harder on all maps. Therefore I cannot claim the auras are better in the slightest.

How the hell do you get BBQ & Chili to activate at a range where the auras are an actual improvement? You have to be really close (or maybe have a gigantic monitor) for that to be the case. And god help the Trapper mains with the hell they're going through right now.

Playing Nurse. I am able to reach them much faster and hence see the auras in detail. Asides from survivors, the generators and hooks look really good.

... what? Not. With BBQ, they blend in with generators. And totems are practically invisible. At least on console. Is it different on PC?

I don't know if i'm color blind or just blind but I played yesterday and lost about 3-4 survivors out of grasp just because I couldn't find hooks nearby. That never happen to me before this patch. Are they made spawn less hooks on map?

Playing on PC. It might be harder to see on console because you play on TV, which means you are sitting further away compared to a monitor.

They're mostly better in the sense that they're worse in every single way, minus how they look as a whole. As is true for a great many maps in this game, just because something looks good doesn't mean gameplay wise it feels good.

I like the look, i dont like how faint they are. Its game breaking for tracker and hooks can be tough to spot.
Luckily theyre fixing it, hopefully a hot patch will come out soon

I mean, my tv is decently sized and I sit fairly close. But like, I found my totem, went behind a wall and could barely see it. Across the map, it was practically invisible. With BBQ, the survivors auras were the same color and intensity as the generators. I'm fine with general look, but color and intensity need to be fixed.

Gotta say I liked the idea they went for, but they're way too faint as both sides. I can just about make out the hooked survivor at long distances, and that shouldn't be the case at all.

My experience with the new auras regarding BBQ has been negative. I'm not sure I've managed to see a Survivor working on a gen using BBQ with the new auras.
