Firstly their characters must not get along with anyone. Cause they’re talking about some mind flayer guy controlling all of this. When the others are pretty sure it’s the entity. I mean Feng is probably laughing to herself about how they think someone from D&D is the master of everything.
And then we also have the Paradox of Halloween existing in the Stranger things universe. It must be pretty werid for them to just run from michael myers in haddon field next to laurie strode.
And oh god poor Nancy. Stuck in a place with eternal suffering with her Ex. Yikes.

Maybe for Nancy's luck, Steve can be transformed into Jonathan with the introduction of Legendary Skins.
